The pain isn't what scares me... I can deal with pain but needles, that's my one big phobia. But, I do my best to fight it, giving blood whenever it's convenient. I will say one thing about that, apparently in California all the blood drive people are retarded, they prick the tip of your finger where all your nerve endings are located. When I gave blood in Montana they pricked the side of the finger, didn't feel a god damn thing. I made them stop and explain what the hell just happened because it blew my mind. Just genius. Also platelet donations are badass, especially in the summer, think computer liquid cooling, well that's it, they pump cold saline through your body while they take the platelets out, it's AMAZING, hell I wish I could do it daily as a mid day routine in the summer!
Anyways yeah, needles, make me break into a cold sweat. I guess when I was 5 years old I fought off 7 nurses to avoid getting a shot. Then a nurse named Helga stepped out (not lying) and stopped me in my tracks. My family still give me crap about it.
