Lost my father to lung cancer in 2006... so of course, every time I lit a cigarette after that, I truly questioned myself: "Am I just literally insane?" So when vaping came along, i grabbed it like a life preserver! Because it is!

Yup, I'm hanging out in the music thread 'cause it's hard to piss anybody off there by posting music , ya know..
besides I prefer music..makes less noise...though some noise is quite musical.

Well it depends a lot on the nature and location of the cancer... he had a small-cell tumor in his lung that had joined up with his aorta, so it was inoperable. They tried radiation, but it made the tumor grow. As he said to me, near the end, sometimes you just have to accept, it's just your time. 50+ yrs of cigarettes and any other thing he could find to smoke does have a pricetag.

That just shows the truly massive scope of the cigarette addiction. I quit drugs, I quit booze... but to quit cigarettes, I had to find something to replace them, or I never could have quit. Even with vaping, I've had to use WTA... all those alkaloids my brain has grown accustomed to, since I was 13 yrs old!

My drug and alcohol counselor said that nicotine is the most addictive drug in the world...I think caffeine is #2. When you think of drug addicts you think of ********** shit like that...not nicotine! But it's true!

I thought caffine was #1. Maybe that's just the most underrated addictive substance? Ah hell. No sleep + my hard liquor is finally working it's magic in my brain and I can FOCUS but I don't know shit

But it's really not true, about nicotine. *cigarette smoking* is the most addictive thing in the world, but once you remove all that other crap in burning tobacco, and even the burning, it's really not very addictive,. I went from 10mg to 4.75mg in about 8 months, and really didn't even notice -- I vaped the same quantity. It's the MAOIs, and the RAPID uptake of the nicotine and MAOIs to the brain, that causes such horrible addiction, not the nicotine by itself.

word, a lot of truth to those statements. I should study this more...I have a masters in Psychology but never really looked into addiction much.
