I am new to Reo and bottom feeders in general. I just got a cyclone and love it.
Can anyone tell me when I can find other bottom feeder attys? I don't want something that has to be modified.
Thanks!

I just got my first REO too! YAY us!!!

Anyway, you can get some bf RDAs off the reomods website. Also, if you are on ECF, there's a guy named Chowderhead1972 that mods some RDAs and sells them, or you can send some of your own to be modded, if it can be done.

If you were inclined, I would advise to NOT buy one of the authentic Zenith v2.5 RDAs that come bf ready from CMII. I got two of the first ones to make it to the US, and can vouch for the MANY reports about them not threading correctly on a REO.

I did purchase the RM2 with my Reo but was not crazy about it. As a matter of fact I just sold it. I know most people love them but I am not a fan. I have a mini and love the size of it. I am thinking of purchasing a LP but I want to see what options I have for attys.

Gotcha, you have a standard version, not LP. Looks like just RM2, RM3, and IGO-BF on reomods site. Cyclone you already have. Not sure about others with small enough diameter but maybe someone else can advise.

The LP offers you more atty options since the catch cup is milled down flush with the 510 connector. Basically any BF atty will work on the LP, the original Reo (non-LP) was developed when un-slotted cartos were the primary topper hence the catch cup (helped with preventing leaking). If you are going to get another the LP is the way to go esp if the RM2 was not your cup of tea. My go to BF atty is a Cyclone with the AFC cap.

Are there other options with LP? You say any bottom feeder will work but what else is there is what I am trying to find out. My search is not coming up with any others.

Edit; a lot of the atty's on this list are no longer made, but I will keep it up for now.
Reo compatible RBAs for non LP mods. The specs show the catch cup at .600" with the paint I would not go over 14.5mm or around .570" outside dia.

With an LP any atty with a 510 that the center post is drilled out will work. So you could send a quassar to chowderhead for drilling the center pin on a LP.

There maybe a new 510 screw in adapter, comming out in a few weeks for any atty to fit a non LP as if it was an LP. Or I may have totally miss understood? But worth the wait IMO.

Edit; the sunbox has one available now but can't read spanish! not sure of the specs with google translation or if it available in the US

I can let you know when I hear something more.

The best $19 shipped I have spent here! Not bad quality for the price , works great for brass holes or openning up side holes by hand.

Installing/removing post. other pin vices available with push spin drill vice.

Thanks for all the input. As I said, I don't want something I need to modify. Choices are limited but hopefully it will increase in time.

So for now I have ordered the LP Grand and also the Igo-W to go with it. I'll see how I like that for now.

That's what I'm using at the moment and it does very well!

Ok, thanks Amanda!

what do you all think of the sunbox E7 with the DNA30? With the wood doors and dna faceplate it looks rather nice. They also have the GRAAL which looks like the chalice or RM2. with an air control ring. But very costley

Just a very costley bottom feed mod. But it is also very modular. Never seen this before.

They do have a nice adapter that hopefuly we can get a thinner version of for the non lp!

Hey guys I've only been a reo owner a few months and I recently started experiencing leaking in side the box. Already checked and changed the bottle and it continued to presist. I also took it apart and made sure the connection of the hose was intact and everything looks good. Just can't get it to stop leaking. And help would be appreciates. I don't know. If you guys would prefer to PM me to keep the thread heading in the same direction or what not

I recall hearing that Rob got a small batch of bad 510 bases that were prone to cracking a couple of months ago, I'd pm him over on ECF and see if he can fix it for you.

I also had the same problem with my stock Reo grand 6ml bottle. I think it came with 2 orings, not sure now?

I put one oring around the neck like the square bottles, picture of that on page 2 post #89. I used another oring inside the cone shape cap as well but I am not sure if it was really need? I don't use that type bottle anymore. It was the stock oring that came with it and was in the cone but fit onto the top face of the bottle opening. That fixed the problem.

With the square bottles;
I started to take a 14 guage 1 1/2" long blunt tip needle. Break off the plastic green end. lube it up good and slide inside the tubing until flush with the bottom of the tubing. This makes for a nice tight fit around the hole in the cap and the tubing. The cap will still squish down around the tubing but the steel tubing alows it to not get too loose and makes for a tighter fit around the hole in the cap. You can do this with the stock bottle as well but will have to push it up higher inside for the cone is loner than 1 1/2".

This method works well but, it will break the glue seal on the top part of the tubing when installing and you may get a leak on top of the delrin like @AmandaD was is asking you! You can re glue with just a tab so it does not clog the end hole.

If you follow what i wrote:)

Edit ^^^^^^^^^^^, Or you could do as advised and check with the Reo maker.

It's reo mini 2.1 I had no clue the tube was suppose to be glued in. If that's the case and consider the problem solved lol

Just a tiny drop at the very top of the 510 connector! I asked if it came from the classies, because I just had to send one into Rob where obviously the gasket in the 510 was crocked LOL

Hello all. I'm pretty new to forums of any type but I've been a Reo owner for quite some time. I have a large collection, atleast by my standards, and am letting go of a couple. Trying to sell them to fellow Reo lovers like myself! I will be putting my first Underground Trading post up tonight, in case anyone is interested. Either way, it's nice to meet you all!

If one was smart they would wait until I come out with the new 510 connections . I can assure you it will look and work better then that monstrosity . That will not look good on a woodvil

I am on the final stages of my prints for the new 510 connections for the grands . Adjustable unbreakable I wouldn't even be looking at other options . These will go into production in about 2 weeks

If anyone here has a VV Grand, I have a question. I've been using my RM2 with a 1.4ohm coil and japenese cotton on my VV since the day I got it, when the first came about. I'm using less flavor dense liquids now and wondering what one might think is the best setup for max flavor with the rm2/vvG.

Yeah, he mentioned that and it's good to see some progress. That being said I don't know if I'll be sending mine back in for the upgrade. Maybe if I pick up a couple more I will start the upgrade process.

Yay, Reoville Underground! Just wanted to say hi... I'm on that other forum, too, but thought I'd check this one out. How is it over here?
I have a blue metallic grand & TRA mini. I have more attys than mods, though, so I really wish I could have more Reos.
Also, dready, that shit is real cool ( I LOVE being able to say SHIT!) I have a Nuppin' copper ring that I think would look amazing with some dready spa work. Looks amazing now, of course, but I have a fantasy about it having some blue patina that matches my Reo.
