The BOREAS RTA by Augvape and Roxy

Some of the recent post are very interesting. I've been quiet in the past but other members have helped me gain the nerve to respectfully tell the "choir" that BOTH the S and B are a flavor chasers best friend using relatively low power and a vanilla Kanthal build with KGD. And yes, I've spent some time with a friends Borris /lol and he used my S after replacing the funky shipped drip tip with a real wide bore drip tip (ask ej) which makes the pull significantly smoother. Both deliver outstanding flavor and I call it a tie! My preferred build and I've tested 6 other builds with various incarnations of wire, wattage, and wicks.

- A horizontal dual Kanthal build with KGD. A very very low 0.5 OHMS /lol
- Max of 45 watts!

So... the next time someone asks you about your fav and they happen to be a dedicated flavor chaser who only requires an above average amount of clouds, never heard of Mr. Clapton /joke, then help both companies sell more product with your explanation that some of "us" love our fav for the super saturated with flavor vapor and the moist vapor. Not to mention the delightful "finish".

Well after some time, my .02. I find this to be one of the more messier tanks I have had. AFC is always full and seeping. It is not a great pocket tank, even though that is what I do. Spend a bit of time keeping it clean. If I cut off holes partially, it whistles a bit. not bad, but there. So usually it is 2 or 3 holes. 4 holes may be smooth, but too much air for my builds. It always seemed a bit weak. I would prefer the air flow and juice flow separate. I don't see a point in "controlling" flow. It's just open or closed to me. But it would be nice to close it and still be able to draw. Having to follow proper procedure for filling is not needed for other tanks, but this one requires it.

I also had to juke my SS TCR to get my TC to give me any kind of warmth and density. That isn't really the tanks fault, just what I have to do. Just saying if you are underwhelmed by the tank and you are using TC, well you may have to adjust. This thing is warm and dense with a juked TCR.

Having said that... it is my go to now. I don't drip, but I have considered it for wicking. I can't see how you can get any closer to a dripper well in a tank. Drippers are not exactly protable either, but I will take the big tank any day. Everything has trade offs, and this tank is no exception. But I will take them for what it does. Easy as shit to build and wick and nothing finicky about it. Coil it, wick it, stuff it in, done. Fill it right to avoid a flood. And accept dripper like leakage in a pocket for a 8ml tanked dripper performance. It's worth it to me.

I have never got the point of buying a big tank and deck and neutering it down to one hole. Different strokes I guess.... Seems to me if you want a tight single coil build then get the right tank for it. This one is a monster. I have yet to lose my love for my Griffin. It's a strong #2. No fuss, nothing finicky. Just simple and easy and it puts out plenty. Goes great on my VS. My EVO loves the Boreas. It really needs a 25mm tank. And I see no point in getting a Griffin 25mm for everything this tank gets right. Little nit picks and nice-to-haves are just that. This tank flat out performs it's job effortlessly.

as far as this monster goes ,,love the big juice capacity , at low watts it lasts for ever and so does my batterys
just rebuild it with 3 strands of 32 gtwisted came in at 1.4 ohms . flavor came up another notch !
the only thing I run into this time is the oring came apart when I took the build deck out .
it seems they put the wrong size in there smaller and fatter !
used one out the package ..got to find some more .
now it is equel to the best single coiled design attys and better then most .
well worth the effort to make the silicone insert ..as you said different strokes

You can get len filters that do macro for pretty cheap. Usually come in a set of 1x, 2x, 4x, 10x and are stackable. Figure out the thread diameter for your lens and buy from there.

While bottom fill might work just fine, this is a top fill tank. As is any new tank hitting the market. I don't buy a top fill tank to fill from the bottom. And no top fill tank I have needs to be.

As with all these sorts of things, it's great yours is spotless. Mine isn't. It's a tad messy. I have pulled juice out of my pocket several times. Not too hard to believe from a side air bottom fed tank. I've changed all the o-rings. I have plenty of cotton. It's is what it is.

The smear problem only happens just above and just below the airflow ring. I can never get it completely dry when the tank is filled.

I notice juice tastes vastly different depending what Im vaping out of. Good example is the Five Fold Vapors "Carnival" juice. Tastes great on RDAs, tastes pretty good out of my Alleria, and like shit and bad breath out of my Boreas. Your shop probably has some dedicated carto testers (mine does anyways) where you cant get a full good draw, so the taste is gonna be a little muted and lacking the full flavor profile. Get that shit home and on a real set up where youre getting a full blast and all of a sudden that expensive ass juice that tasted bomb in the store now tastes like hot death buried in garbage.

Its a really strange juice imo. When I first got it, I didnt like it at all. I thought it tasted like wet spaghetti noodles. But the more I tried it, the more I liked it and the more different notes came out of it (just over the course of a day or 2). Now its my favorite juice at the moment. So damn good.

Nah, Im not even good til tomorrow. Theres a ton of shit I want still. Got a Hammer of God V2 and Temple 35mm RDA comin from 3F, a real Petri V2 and Cloud Cap from Chef, and a Theorum rta eventually when they finally fucking release it.

But I still want the Disguiser, the Spartan 300, the Lucifer, the Griffin 25, another Boreas, an M17, a Mason 40mm, a Mad Hatter Mini, a Limitless color changer, a So Horney, a Hells Gate V2, and a Ronin series (triple series maybe). Lots and lots of shit still to come.
