Sigelei 213W first impressions

Yep, I was looking at the $50 Fuchai version last night. Good I'm broke though or I would've bought one before reading these last few posts here.

I have a Sig 75 that works well, and the doors fit perfectly. However, I bought 2 more on Black Friday to store away, and both were defective. Low battery warning/wouldn't fire when batteries were at 4.1v. Turned themselves off repeatedly. I sent them back to VapeNW, and got an rx200 and batteries instead.

So whats the deal? Is the Fuchai the same exact shell as the regular 213 and a different chip? Are they literally the same thing with different name? Or is the Fuchai a little bigger (looks like it might be a lil bigger)?

Either way, looks like after the weeks and weeks of hype and excitement for the 213, Sigelei totally botched it in a bad way lol. Too bad, they were a reputable company, but after this shit, no doubt they lost some face.

Thats nice. I skipped the IPV5, but I might just pick that one up, especially since its very 213ish style wise and I definitely wont be buying an actual 213

My thoughts exactly and at least I KNOW it's upgradeable. I'll take my chances on the QC. By the way ecig.com is letting the Ipv5 go for $38. At that price it's a no brainer.

It's limited to 100J (Watts) in temperature control, not a deal breaker for most just putting it out there.

It's certainly a good looking device.

The only differnce between this 213 and the Carbon/Gold 213 is the outer casing (ALuminum Alloy) material that is used. Sigelei manufactured this 213 for affordablilty. The specs are all the same!

The Sigelei 213W is their newest mod to leak out onto the market and features an amazing 213 watts of power with 2x 18650 sized batteries. The Sigelei 213 is capable of using the following wire types: Kanthal, Titanium, Ni200 Nickel, and Stainless steel. The Sigelei 213 will also feature TCR functionality to further enhance its temperature control capabilities.

One main feature of the Sigelei 213W is its brand new "power up" timer. The power up timer allows the user to change what wattage your device will fire and how long it will fire for at the selected wattage. I don't use TC, so not bothered myself about that, but it does have the misfire problem too, if it didn't have that, then probably would of got that blue or burnt orange for a work mod, as battery life is awesome and size, weight and feel is great, just the chip sucks.

Did you guys read that the chip in the carbon fiber model has tcr calibrated in Fahrenheit? Apparently it does work fine if you use Sigelei's tcr values.

The Fuchai version is calibrated in Celsius so should work with traditional tcr values we use for other mods.

How do people find this mod in comparison to older Sigelei mods?

I own a few, but since the switch from Yihi chips quality has not seemed the same, my fiancee got a Sigelei book that broke within 3 weeks, and after the Sig 75 I was put off of Sigelei mods (The Sig 75 is old, and still works, but battery life issues are very apparent-my first high powered box was the Sig 150 OG, and I still love the thing).

If this is similar to their older mods, solidly built, and solid performance, I may be interested in adding one to the collection.

So, any owners, what do you think? And do you think it is as good quality wise as Sigelei once was?

EDIT: @Deucesjack , the IPV 6 seems worth waiting for, I love my IPV 5 and IPV 3 LI, the Yihi board is preferable to me, unless the 213 is back to where Sigelei once was. The IPV6 is very nice looking though, so I may wait for this.

When you're dealing with P4Y, being upgradeable is a non-factor. I think their corporate motto is: Why release an upgrade/update when we can just release a new model every 2 weeks

$75 price tag is "too much"; build quality is worth something in my book (REAL carbon fiber?), chip does useful things that even the vaunted DNA200 doesn't, for less money.
Firmware support; unless you have a crystal ball, it's hard to knock it for this... besides, if it works good now (seems to, besides some minor quibbles), what's the need?

Seems to be a much nicer mod than the Reuleaux, so to anyone hoping for a $40 price tag, good luck.

True but at least they're capable of upgrades. Sig just said it was when it's not. To me that's shadier than what P4y does. With the looming fda regs I want a mod that's capable of upgrades.

Yeah, I hear you buddy. I was just messing around. I'm still irritated with them for not adding SS TC to the IPV3 Li. They wouldn't even respond to me when I asked them if they planned to, or if not, why not. I said at the time I was done with them, so far I've kept to that. I'm not saying they make bad mods or anything like that. Heck my IPV3 Li is built like a tank and never let me down.

I tell you what. I'm waiting for the ipv6 to drop because I am so impressed with my ipv5. My only complaint is there is no SS 316 preset but who cares it does tcr. Plus it's a little on the tall side but man does she vape beautifully. Ecig.com has them for like $38, an absolute no brainer for this board.

Perhaps, but we are far away from typical. With the deeming regulations coming and the fact that the 213 has what many consider major issues we will indubitably see a dramatic price decrease.

I paid $138 for a Hohm Wrecker G2 at the end of February, you can pick one up now for almost half that on sale. The G2 has only one minor flaw, the 510 isn't deep enough. Imagine the price drop here on this device.

I can't recommend the sig 213 or the VT75, my sig 213 has misfires, but at least I can charge through USB, my VT75 shows it is charging, but doesn't actually charge, just like the sig 213, love the look and form factor, but I hate having to change out batteries.....and yes I know it is better to charge with external charger, but I am lazy fucker and just want to plug it in.

Nope it doesn't, led goes red to say it is charging, and battery meter shows strike sign to say it is charging, but it isn't, last try was with a 18650 battery, was half drained, left on charge for 24 hours, still red led, take off charge and still only half, and got from vapenw as such a good price, and we know how they are with returns, so now got to live with it, or time to buy something else, like I need a excuse

Agreed, just messin with you. I love my vt75 and the DNA 200. It is now my go to mod to take with me. That being said, I have had no trouble with my sig 213. But for around the same price, DNA all the way baby!
