I must update my opinion about the Serpent Mini.

If you treat it like a single coil dripper it's quite good.

The top fill is useless without a JFC but since I can bottom fill it... Meh.

So it gets upgraded from 'Meh' to ''Not bad'

Good god. I would hate that -- even down here, most people overheat their houses in the winter. I usually only let it get to about 72-73 in the house in the winter, so there's not such a huge diff to the temp outside, and it doesn't dry the air so much -- that drying is why it's so easy to get colds/flu in the winter, along with the fact that people are indoors all together -- the drying causes microscopic cracks in the mucosa, which permits ingress to virii. I got a cool-air humidifier last winter, to run at night when I'm sleeping, and it helped a LOT! Didn't wake up with my throat/sinuses/nose all dried and cracked.

But I noticed the same thing in MI, which also gets very cold winters, especially as you get further from Detroit's industrial areas -- no way is it healthy to heat the indoors that extremely.

Just another reason I've become a hermit. Apparently it's rude to walk in someone else's house and complain about the temperature. :D

Not here! Whole family is pretty environmentally conscious. Lets me program the 'stat for 69 in the day, and 54 at night. Eiderdowns, baby! SO cozy at night, and sleep quality is SO much better in a COLD room under a WARM blanket. Cold? Put on a SWEATER and spare the CO2!

And Scotland, even colder and wetter.

Ah. Still think I'd love to go, live there awhile. May even go native. :) They been doing a lot of environmentally friendly stuff over there of late. One company was going to set up wave turbines to generate electricity, they've got some windmills going too. Be nice, I think, to see them go on again and strike to get Independence.

I put on a sweater when the thermostat is at 72! In the 60s, and I'd be wearing a FULL BODY PARKA! I turn it down to 70 AT NIGHT... which is quite chilly, in my book.

I'd like to visit... but I could NEVER EVER live in a place where it's so cloudy all the time, I'd be suicidally depressed constantly. I love rain here in the summer: 15 mins of sound and fury, 5-10 mins of flooding downpour, then bang, it's outta here, sun's back out. Winter rain here depresses me terribly; it can't just rain and get it over with, it has to hang around for a fucking week! GRRRRRRRRR!

Not sure I would note much difference in attitude then. I stay there most of the time, or bleakly confused. Suicide for me is no option. I got a contract/s with a few different folks which as such forbid it of me. One is quite a contract too. Have no doubt a host of spirits would rise from their rest bringing me back, then beating me near dead again. Besides, I'm no coward, end of suicide discussion.

The land over there is hills. We got hills here in WV, VA. Grew up in these hills. Quite literally spent a week alone naked in them once. Was not naked but two days. Began trapping & learning to thrive even if I was not comfortable. Now granted, I've got old and soft. Knowledge has faded a bit sure, but it comes back like riding a bicycle. I'm aware of having become aged, softer and know to accommodate.

An old dog is always an old dog. :) We don't mind the rain so much. The chill does us no good but there's way to combat that. So, yes do think even with rains, damp, chill, I'd not mind Scotland so. Of course, I'm the lot what squat down in a Cambodian vegetable market, becoming fully native in seconds, or wanders the streets of Tokyo, Paris and becomes part of the background.

There are places I won't go. These are few and hold good reason to not go. Most places I can live. Some of these few, it's difficult for any to live. This is what I mean when I ask folks to not hold me living in the U.S. against me. I only live here. I could feasibly live most anywhere though. I'm not one of the leaders, policy makers, planners. I'm only a humble peasant, a doer, one who lives and keeps living.

ETA ( Clarifying ): I've not taken any real special training or such. I got some basic stuff from an uncle and grandfather, a guy who was 75th Airborn. I have just grown up around that kernel & learned to live, survive. Not saying I'm any Rambo or such either, just a guy that knows enough to do whats needed. I know there's probably many here what could out-survive me. That's fine. Not bragging, not trying to overstate either. Just know I can find a spot most places, good to go for myself. As I say, just a humble fool that muddles on, day by day.

Hello, goodbye, GFY Fugees

All is well except for these pesky real-world responsibilities :p
I hear ya Lucy.
Good morning, good afternoon, and goodnight. I hate summer hours. :(
Oh, and I took my hair out of the ponytail today and a coworker told me a looked like one of those dolls with yarn hair. After about 2 minutes of laughter in the room(and from me, it was funny, hehehe) I put it back in the ponytail. My hair is extremely thick, curly and looks like dreadlocks now. Not that there's anything wrong with dreadlocks, but NOT on a 53 year old white woman! It looks plain STUPID. It's been a while since I had a trim and thinning. I have to spray watered down coconut conditioner on it to even brush it out.

Speaking of being a peasant. The witch is suiting me up for it but good. I had to go see a psychological therapist today, after this we went to the Stihl dealer in town. Got my eye on a sweet weed eater set up that will run around $250. Go me, grand master coolie. :)

Well then you stay in the sun, mama. :)

I get a little cranky about rain & clouds being honest. Simple reason though. I cannot get out to do much, if anything when it rains. Cranky is different from feeling like I want to go drink a tea of nightshade, or lob a round through my skull. Most times if that feeling comes, I see it, expel it. I stay a level 'depressed', the English might say mauldin. It's kind of a languished state.

Well need to scoot. Critters to feed.

Yeah my depression is a continuum..... lately, it's barely noticeable.... but I'll never again make the mistake of thinking it's gone, or "cured".... It always comes back, sometimes with no apparent reason. It's just my normal state I guess, though a lot of the time, I can pretend I'm happy. (ETA: finally being able to get off cigs by vaping has done more for my self-esteem, and thus mood, than anything else EVER!)
