@f1r3b1rd Also, I don't think you fit in that category. Growing up where I did I saw much of that. There are exceptions for everything. If you make one basket for all do you really think that will work? Just bring in communism. Everyone equal everyone poor, except the elite, which you will still have.
not the point I was making, I worked my ass off through pain and rebuilding my life for those degrees, I want to work for what I have.. that system needs restructuring, keeping people down just forces them into despair and deoression. letting them free is what makes us procductive, happy and healthier

BTW,

The terrorist that did the shooting was investigated TWICE by the FBI and had been on the Terrorist Watch List and somehow got removed from it.

Why even bother if no one has the balls to do anything about it.

Like send these jerks packing?
The mosque he attended was under investigation, but Hillary Clinton put a stop to the investigation personally.

I remember reading only a couple months ago about a man that was shot and killed in front of his GF when he pulled his weapon to try and stop a gunman that had no problem what so ever killing someone

LEOs are trained to deal with these situations and get killed in the process, now you want untrained people shooting in crowded places, yeah, that would have ended much better
Because YOU are untrained and have an irrational fear of firearms, you believe everyone else is too?

LEO training is a joke. They are required in most places to fire X amount of rounds a year. Depending on budget restraints, that could be only a box of ammo.

They are not however, required to be a certain percentage accurate. And even what little "qualifying" a year they have to do, none of it is an "under stress" situation.

I don't really care how you FEEL about citizens carrying. It is an inherent right. It is our duty.

Not to sound callus but no "poor" person will create jobs, etc. This is not popular thinking today.
no poor person starts wars and winds up murdering thousands so they can war profiteer...no poor person buys a congressman to write trade laws that put americans out of jobs while they move their factories to mexico..no poor person manipulates the currency through the federal reserve to create debt to enslave the taxpayer. just as liberals need to learn to fear the goverment as much as they fear the corpratists the RINOs like you.. need to learn to fear the corporations as much as they fear the goverment......most uber rich are evil scum, they buy the goverment to install regulations to destroy their comepetitors..... a handfull run this world and they use the goverment to ensure they continue to run it....the poor wouldn't be poor if there was a true capitalist economy but this economy is run by the corporations ....you may not know this but the head of Standard Oil C. a monoply J D Rockerfeller once said..."Competition is evil" he hated capitalisim..he was a facist.

I assume you folks read today Obumass said *we're the problem for the gun violence and massacres*. By allowing people (us), to buy guns much too easily. The gun caused the massacre, not the fucking psychopath with the innate object. Same old same old with this worthless jackass.

Can't believe this idiot wasn't impeached. If Hitlory makes it, I have no other choice than leave this country permanently. In which I intend to do. Can't take no more incompetence and our Just-Us system.

Not sure who coined the *Just Us* phrase on this forum. Regardless, props to that person, certainly hit the nail square to the head...!

The Government manipulated media only reports that kind of scenario. It is estimated by reputable researchers that there are in excess of 1 million successful defenses with firearms per year. The vast majority end without bloodshed, and the bad guy just goes away when confronted with that kind of resistance to find a gentler victim (do you fit that description?).

I have spent a lot of time in the area of firearm training, on both sides of the equation, won't boor you with the details, but the fact is the typical beat cop is shockingly incompetent with his/her weapons, especially sidearms. Elite response teams get much better training, often at private civilian run facilities. To their credit, many regular cops seek better training than they are provided with, once again from civilian trainers and they train right alongside the very people who are governed by the laws that they have sworn to uphold.

Man it's gonna be great when Hitlery imports 600,000 moreof these terrorist scumbags refugees.
65k + They are allowed 8 extra ppl. So it's actually 585k... Sorry being technical. But since Obama just allowed 10k of em here, well actually 90k of em. So it's WAY above that! 675k Refugees/Terrorists! BUT REMEMBER! We have MORE guns then there are terrorists entering the US ;)

Example: Why won't Japan or any other country EVER come into the US? Anyone know?

All the complaining in the world about refugees, etc mean nothing. This guy was "home grown". Born in New York. I think his father probably fucked him up from a young age. Rumor now has it that he was gay. If that's the case, the kid probably hated himself because of his religion. This is about hate and religious indoctrination and mental illness. What disturbs me the most is the ease with which he was able to obtain these guns, especially when he had been looked at by the Feds. several times. I'm all for gun ownership, but there has to be something that can be done to prevent people like him from obtaining weapons so easily. I don't have the answers, though.

And it's looking more and more like he was mentally ill and not really a "radical" Muslim.

Proper screening of refugees and those that come to this country would have stopped this.

How you ask if he was born here?

His father NEVER should have been allowed entry. Look him up--he is a radical who fully supports the Taliban for starters...

It's a red herring to claim that restrictions on muslim immigration would not have stopped this killing spree.

Playing Hide and Seek while waiting for police didn't work out very well for about 100 people.

The problem with your stupid comment is all the dead and wounded people. Yes, it would have ended much better if some of them could have shot back.

True, someone should of shot him... But in the long run... Is he really the one to blame? Do you know for a fact? I bet all the money in the world he is innocent! *I know I'm switching stuff around, ya gotta look at stuff at ALL Views*

A Few cents tells me, you'll see this same "shooter" in another false flag situation! Next time he may be the victim! Crisis Actors make a fuck ton of $$$...

I can't come to any logical conclusion that the theory has any benefit. There has to be an end goal for such a thing and I can't see one.

what tripe...he wasn't homegrown..he was first generation from a non westeren culture that had no tradition of secular society, or individual liberty...he embodies what is wrong with ourt current immigration policies after seeing what he did and listening to the insane rants or his father it is clear this man and his family had no bussiness being allowed to immigrate here,...his roots are not in America his roots are in the Taliban...he nor his father had any desire to assimilate to a westeren society, they just used America as a passport of convinience. he is not homegrown.that is a meme a narritive being sold by leftist totalitarians to sell globalisim.

Wow, everyone here seems to think I am a fighting left wing commi who wants all the poor people to live in shacks and all the rich people to live on the hill. Nothing is further from the truth. We have this thing called "voting" and you can use that to change things how you want them. Of course, your reply will be that you have to have money to run for office and the political systems are rigged. Those who are voted in office make promises and don't keep them. They go with the status quo "for the good of society".

I see what's happening and it's difficult to stop a train. I get just as angry as you, maybe more so. I have to stop watching the news and could not watch our illustrious leader when I was active duty and civil service. I saw how the military changed during my 21+ years, and it wasn't good. So I hate to break the news to you, some people are just as frustrated as you.

I learned a long time ago pacing on things you can't change does no good except cause harm to yourself. Type A personalities are fine until the personality wins. Then you are 6-feet under. Relax and enjoy life, some.

My old 44 cap n ball revolver saved my life. New york said i couldent have it. Fuck them, and fuck cuomo. I was home, chillin in my room and my dads drug dealing "friends" came in high as fuck. Thought i stole his ***** or some shit. Locked myself in my room, grabed my pistol. He busted the door down with his gun in hand. He flinched, i shot. One dead "badass". Cops didnt even take the revolver. Under pa state statutes, wasent even considered a gun anymore. Thats my story. Im here, asshole isnt. Im sorry, but ill take my guns and my life, vs no gun and a hole in the ground. Took me damn near a year just to stop having flashbacks. Still not over it. Never will be. But anyone who can take a life and enjoy it or even not feel anything, needs to be euthanized.

The fact that you defended yourself should cause you no lost sleep in a perfect world but I can see how it might...

Fortunately for me I haven't had to fire a shot in anger. My time in the service was at the very end of Vietnam (73-75 'Nam era vet) and I saw no combat.

In Civilian life three different times a firearm either kept me and mine alive or kept our property in our possession. Once a pump shotgun and twice a Stainless .357 revolver made the case that I was ready to ventilate them if they persisted and all three times the scumbags decided it was better to leave than test me.

Another time I remember being at my workbench with the garage door open and running my Lee progressive press loading up some 158 grain JHP rounds for a trip to the range and some sleazebag walked slowly by my house real suspiciously eyeballing my open garage door and his eyes went wide open and his pace quickened when he saw me in there working. I wonder if it was the pistol strapped to my belt that caused his reaction...lol. Probably.

Well, regardless of who did it, why they did it, how they did it, if it was a complete fabrication... Almost, if not 50 people were murdered. So, I guess I'm just going to say my condolences to the 50 dead and 50 or so injured. This has turned in to a completely political thread, save that for another thread, create one. People were killed, lots of them, that's all that truly matters. I feel awful for them, their families, the first responders listening to dead people's cell phones ringing as loved ones tried to call them. Save the gun talk and politics. My heart goes out to those who lost their lives, loved ones, and those who were injured. Done.

Sorry @TBCAmor but from the get-go the leftist panty wetters first cries were to ban firearms--so the inclusion of a discussion on guns is valid.

Don't apologize to me. Read the title of the thread, then see how many mentions on topic to that sentiment exist. This thread was seemingly created as a thank you to law enforcement, and I can't imagine why it wouldn't include the victims. It instantly disintegrated into a gun control talk with nearly no mention of the incident until conspiracy theories started coming along. And people who have disagreed are just met with nasty comments.

I stay out of this shit in here because I suppose to you, I'm just a leftist panty wetter. I'm in the minority in here, but guess what, we agree on many things. I'm not a fucking democrat, I unregistered in December. I fucking hate them all. I am me, and I am a liberal, yes. I think for myself, though. I don't need a politician or a religion to form a moral compass and tell me what to think. And That doesn't mean I'm a little bitch handout taking panty wetter. I'm just tired of all the generalizations. Not everyone is a fucking party line obeying robot.

So, yeah. I read the title and opened the thread expecting to see thanks and condolences and I got pissed at what's transpired here. I bite my lip constantly on this forum because I really like the place and a lot of the people here. I've pretty much been here from the start, and I love the place, aside from the hit it takes on my wallet. I also know that I probably side differently with many of those I enjoy conversing with. So I just shut up. I'm ok with different beliefs. This just irked me. I find it moderately disrespectful. I said my piece for once. Usually I just keep quiet so as to keep enjoying this forum, because I realize that in spite of our differences in many beliefs, we are all just here to Vape and learn. And most of us are pretty fucking cool people, regardless of our political stance. I still feel that way.

And my feelings aren't even slightly hurt or touched, but come on. Can we cut out the "leftist panty wetter" etc... Talk? Really? And we wonder why nothing gets done in this country. We can't even treat eachother, fellow Americans, with respect if they happen to feel differently than us. Pitiful. And we wonder why politicians are so divisive and unwilling to compromise. Well look at the populace. Pretty similar.

Now I've gone on a tangent off topic, so sorry. I don't desire to get in any argument with anyone, I just want to see these people get the respect they deserve. Lives were lost, a lot of them. Think about just that for a moment. And call me a leftist panty wetter if it pleases you. It does seem counterintuitive to constructive conversation, and if I took it personally, it's kinda toeing the line on what little rules this forum has. But, I don't. Call me what you will. I'm just a man who wants a good life and feels that sentiment towards most everyone. Is that so bad?

I shared my sentiments, I was respectful, and I didn't chastise anyone. I expressed my opinion respectfully that this simply is not the place, IN MY OPINION, to get into politics. I was not intentionally called a panty wetting liberal, but I was. I also don't care. I said I respect your opinions, and I do. I'm not interested in engaging this into some big deal. As I said, I like this place, you're good people. However, I do not see how I was at all an ass. Nor did I chastise others. I replied directly to an individual who replied to me. That's all. I didn't disparage, call names, anything. So, ok then. I'll consider you an individual who I obviously side differently from, but I believe I've definitely interacted with you and probably learned stuff from you. I'm not attacking anyone or their beliefs, have them, truly. I simply am stating an overall disgust with how this thread transpired and directly replied to an individual. That's all. If I'm the bad guy ok. Read your post, kinda disrespectful to me. Don't care. It's all good. Just realize that I'm sharing my sentiments in a no inflammatory or personally attacking way. So please don't accuse me of that, and preface it with blah blah blah, thus you essentially mocking me and treating me as you claim I did others.

I've got no hard feelings here. I'm just discussing. So I suppose if I was somehow a chastising ass, my apologies. i don't see it, maybe I'm blinded by my own self. Fuck it. I mean no disrespect or harm, just trying to converse. I've learned my lesson, I'll keep to vaping topics I suppose. Enjoy.

That wont slow them down a bit...you could kill more people with a screwdriver then a gun and not let everone in earshot know your doing harm....and there isnt paperwork or a backround check for a screwdriver..

No background checks for socks, teaspoons, water, bottle openers, sticks, rocks, safety scissors, plastic combs, the mitts at the ends of your arms, your feet, elbows, knees, thumbs, palms either.

Ultimately, if you're wanted dead by someone desperate enough to do it, you'll be dead ... legally with all appropriate ts crossed and i's dotted or not.

Look at a map. I'll give you hint, the hospital was three blocks away on the same street. If I need to explain to you that wounded people fled in all directions and those that fled in the opposite direction of the hospital had to go back past the club to go towards the hospital/ambulance crews, then you are too dumb to converse with.

And yes, the shootings were real. You are extremely gullible. While I'm quite sure that aspects of all the shootings are being kept quiet, for various reasons, and other aspects are being highlighted to push an agenda, the idea that it's some type of made up play is not only laughable but just goes to show how sick the people are that believe such nonsense. The two videos you posted were so simple minded and astoundingly retarded I'm more inclined to believe that they, themselves, are put out by the government in order to marginalize those conspiracies theories that have actual merit.

I like a good conspiracy theory, but these are not good.

In the wake of the mass shooting in Orlando last night - I am left saddened and outraged.
They say that the best way to stop a bad guy with a gun is with a good guy with a gun. Thank you for putting your lives in harms way every day.

Just for a sec I wanted to chime in on the original post...
A HUGE THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! to the Law Enforcement for all you do and the crap you have to put up with. I appreciate your service more and more every day. Be safe and keep up the great work.

I agree I find it a fr more plausable conspiracy theroy that the goverment finds a loony makes guns accessable to him,and unleahes him in order to justify grabbing guns...that being said I find it quite plausable that the goverment would murder hundreds if not thousands of citizens if it served their agenda.after all these are the same people that start wars for profit and fun.I doubt any human life holds much value to them.american or otherwise.

I will admit that things may happen in darkness but the government meeting in broom closets planning mass killings to push an agenda for gun grabbing is serious reaching.

Yep. They are perfectly fine with collateral damage. There is shady shit going on but saying these shootings are fake and full of actors is ridiculous. Like 9/11, the bodies and wounded are real and I feel for their families.

A litle know fact is that in the early days of our country, per the law at the time, each Male Citizen over a certain age was required to have a firearm as well as a certain amount of gunpowder and lead balls in case of need.

Personally, I have a small collection of firearms, mostly for investment.

That being said, I live out in the boonies and we kind of watch out for each other.

I have a Ruger 10/22 for Varmints.

A Mossburg 510 with pistol grips (with a special load that will penetrate the bad guys but will not go through a wall) for primary home defense.

And a Springfield, 1911, .45 ACP for whenever I need to travel for business through high crime areas.

But then, I also have a spotless police record and have passed all background checks without issue.

But the Jerk in question even being interviews by law enforcement was still able to purchase firearms under his own name?

I would have thought that the Fed's would have put something in the data base that would preclude him from purchasing anything more deadly than a slingshot!
