Just got my IPV 5 today, put my Crown on and set TCR to .00092 for the .25 ohm SS coil... The pulsing is atrocious and I have to crank it all the way to 572 degrees to get a remotely decent vape and the pulsing feels like the vapor is rapid during into my mouth... Am I doing something wrong? Did I get a dud mod?

Did you lock the cold resistance?(won't work right if you don't) I usually run 420F 40-50J on my Yihi chips with SS316L at 0.24 ohms.
I bumped the TCR to 95 also.

Just tried these settings and get barely any vapor and no flavor... Maybe I have a bad coil...

Can you try the coil on another mod in tc? What version firmware is on the mod?

The I only other mod I have with SS TC is my rx200, and it's never really worked quite right... But I'll give it a whirl

I had to crank the tcr value on mine way up for the crown coils. Could be the nr legs may not be the mod I think I have it at 110 for my TCR

I use the standard 000.0092 setting on my IPV5 and it works great. It's a bit weaker with tanks and needs a higher temp (500). When using RDA's with duel coils, it works perfectly. It's warm at 450-480 degrees with no pulsing whatsoever.

i only use tanks, sub ohms and RTAs both, and mine doesn't work for crap with the TCR set to 92, 125 works quite well with the Crown coils though...
