From what everyone says the Supreme is just like the Boreas with separate jfc and better machining.

That's what I keep reading .... Just have to spend some time with it . For the last week the Boreas tank as been smooth as silk. Can't wait for the day to get the supreme dialed in .

I've heard other people have had seepage problems. I know some of the bases were faulty. Mine just started showing very slight condensation every once in a while.

Sent from my GT-N8013 using Tapatalk
I read the base issue and just chalked it up to a loss . I figured I would just keep it for when things get hard to get parts and send it to one of you that needs a parts tank

I like Roxy and the tank she helped design, but the Supreme has the Boreas beat hands down. In the flavor dept too.
That's what I am hoping for . I have two supremes just waiting to be vaped . And I know it's all user error . And I strongly agree the supreme would make it a lot easier to work with when I am out running around. I have no loyalty to just one . Well except DNA .

I'll tell you the mod I would like to get is the DNA133 Flask but I'm not feeling $170 bones :D:giggle:.
Or the 22mm diameter. Every Atty I love would have too much overhang. I really love the Flask too...just wish they had updated the body....does not need to be that slim to retain its ergonomics imo

Some will hate on this mod. I love mine that I picked up the last go round. The only thing I don't like is the batt life. Supposedly, the 1300 mah batt is much better, but you are looking at an additional $30-50 bones. FT has the best price but no longer ships to the states :(. Otherwise love it. The buttons are fantastic. I just love the feel of it, the rubberized body is great.

Just wondering, did they solve the build quality issues and the battery door being loose and not painted on the inside, or is it the same as it looks on the reviews?

The Supreme is still my all day atty, the Boreas is not.
It has much better flavor that you would expect from an RDTA with such a long chimney.
It's better then the Boreas in every way and it's not that expensive now.

I bought one then bought 4 more. I generally don't do that if the mod sucks. My battery covers are painted on the inside, if they ever loosen up, I just give them a gentle squeeze. I haven't run into any build quality issues. I think those early reviews must have been done on pre-production mods.

Steve

I get really good results using dual horizontal coils. I just rebuilt one of mine yesterday and used 28ga SS430, 2.5mm, 7 wraps, spaced, They came out to .32ohms. I use TC set at 420F, 30 watts, with 50 watts preheat, 5 punch for 1 second. I've tried Claptons and 317L in it as well but so far I like the simple SS430 the best. Not that there is anything wrong with the others, but I always use TC and SS430 gives me the flattest results (no temperature fluctuation). I also leave my tails a little longer than the guy does in the video a page or 2 back. I fold them under my coils and cover the deck. Like the video I make sure there is an open space so air can travel under them between the coils.

Cheers,
Steve

Edit I also have an order on the way from Crazy Wire that has quite a few different gauges of SS430 wire in it. I'm going to experiment with different gauges and attempt to make some Claptons. I want to see if I just like the simple 28ga better or if I just like SS430 better. I'm leaning towards the latter (I like SS430).. I'll tell you one thing for sure, I get way better battery life using simple 28ga coils :D

Wow, they upped the price $5 after i ordered and posted yesterday. Used a 10% off coupon and got 2 for $99. Can't beat that deal, the chips alone are worth more than that. I now have all 3 colors and replacement batteries. I really like the mod, a DNA 200 and probably the most pocketable of the DNA 200s that I have (and I have a lot of them, not as many as Steve though :p). I don't think you will be disappointed in the mod, unless you are a chain vapor and can't carry a spare battery. Not a problem for me though.

Wasn't there some sort of problem wth this mod? I thought I read somewhere on this thread that it needed a seperate chrger or battery that ecig.com was out of stock on.

If you don't have the charger, it will charge from the USB just like any other DNA200 Lipo mod.

I use both the Boreas and the Supreme. And I do like the Boreas machining, drip tip, two build decks, and no lost tiny pins. The decks on the Boreas are actually slightly larger and I can get larger builds in there. Plus the Boreas is often less expensive.

To anyone else thinking about the Limitless RDTA Plus I also recommend it. I already own one of each (2) in black & SS of the first editions but grabbed a Plus also when they came out. The first editions I bought extra glass and wide bore drip tips for them along with A1 tool steel grub screws. So by the time I paid for the extras the Plus seemed like a good deal even after adding a custom drip tip .I've already seen the Plus for as low as $25 and on average $20 is now a common price for v1. I like the Plus a little better for the larger build deck as I can add a extra wrap(vs v1) or two to the coils I use. I also like the top cap as it has a built in o-ring that really helps hold the friction drip tips I use a little better. The tips are from China and can vary a little in size so the built in o-ring makes for a perfect fit.The Plus actually includes a nice stock wide bore tip which many may be happy with but I prefer to play matchy matchy on about all my set-ups. I also like the two top post having the screws on top instead of the side like v1.This is also the same way the screws are set up on the Tornado Nano which is also in my top 5 list of RTA/RDTA out right now. The screws them self are phillip head and I'm okay with that as its easy to find nice aftermarket screwdrivers (cheap)that fit ,least easier then finding allen style screwdrivers with nice handles that sell for less then $10-$15. Just wish they would have used four of the Titanium screws instead of two. The bottom two I believe are only made of SS. Fasttech sells the replacement Titanium screws but they are little over $2 each and could take a month + to receive if anyone is looking to upgrade or just needs a few extra..The top cap itself on the Plus is now stainless instead of just delrin. It seems a little smoother adjusting the air flow vs the solid delrin cap on v1 I also checked the juice capacity and got every bit of 6ml+ even after pre-wetting my wicks before filling .On v1 i was able to get more in the range of 5ml vs the advertised 4ml which can also vary depending on size the wicks used. I noticed on the ijoy Facebook page someone posted a picture of one set up with the stainless cables for wicking .Looked really nice I just wonder how well they work .My biggest fear in buying the Plus was will it fit on my VT133 without overhang as v1 seemed to barely fit. The answer is yes and no. The extra 1mm (24vs25) only ads .5 mm to each side and that is just enough to catch your thumbnail if you run your thumb across it to see if it will catch. However I'm not one who is easily bothered by such things and still consider it to be a great fit. All in All I would recommend the Plus over v1 just for the extra glass and wide bore drip tip and option of adding your own 510 drip tip..However its not for everyone. Anyone who doesn't like or know how to build large coils could have trouble with this one .However the Plus(not found on v1) does include a silicone adapter to block off one side to use only a single coil.Personally I'll probably never use the single coil adapter but to each his own. Again may not be for everyone as you have to learn to do that "Genny lean" to keep your wicks wet. I recently found myself leaning my regular RTA(s) before relishing i'm doing that Genny lean thing..so it will become natural if used enough. The paisley/bandana design also may not be for everyone but to me I think it ads flair as I've always liked engraved watches .guns etc. As far as flavor both are great and one the reasons they have became so popular is for the flavor .These things produce flavor like a RDA and only a few months back that was a statement that was often made but seldom lived up to on all the RTA(s) during their big faze .Now it will be the war of the minis with all the small RTA(s) being released in next few weeks. As far as the war of the RDTA(s) if they ever was one I think the Plus will top them all or at least for now !

I love the DT that you are using. Where did you pick up? FT?

I got this in the mail today :( it's all becoming a bit more real....

Dear NicSelect Customers and Potential Customers,

The next several months will be a challenge for many of you as you prepare to adhere to the FDA regulations and the PMTA (pre-market tobacco approval) requirements. Naturally, we all hope that our industry can successfully challenge the grandfather date and bring about other modifications we believe are needed.

Regardless of what may come, we and Alchem International, makers of NicSelect® 100% Pure Nicotine USP, will do whatever we can to assist with your compliance efforts. We will soon be submitting a TPMF (tobacco products master file) on NicSelect® to the FDA that you can reference in your PMTA applications. And if you are selling products in Europe, we assure you we are REACH compliant and can help you with your TPD (Tobacco Products Directive) dossiers. We can also refer you to associations/consultants in Europe that can assist you with that process.

Alchem International has been making plant-based extracts for the pharmaceutical, nutritional, cosmetic and e-cigarette industries for over 75 years. Unlike newcomers to the market, we are thoroughly versed and experienced in dealing with regulatory agencies both here and abroad. We are regularly inspected by FDA and we currently have 4 active DMF’s (Drug Master Files) in place at FDA for pharmaceutical API’s (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients).

We are committed to the long-term success of this industry. In fact, because of current and projected future demands in the US and Europe, we are preparing to double our current capacity of NicSelect® to continue to be able to supply your needs. Please feel free to call me to discuss how we can help you succeed in this ever-changing regulatory landscape.

Sincerely,

Thomas H. Schrier

I have a couple of @raymo2u coils in the Supreme....I couldn't tell you what they are...exotic Raymo coils is all I know....he sent me a whole bunch of coils, I just use um. When I bought them he was using Nichrome and Kanthal, so their a combination at .4 ohms. He makes SS coils now, I'll get some of those one day. Just using parallel 28 awg SS coils in the Supreme work nicely.

I'm glad Steve ENABLED me to buy a couple Supremes.....:giggle:

I'm still waiting for someone who I enabled to be unhappy with the Supreme and take me up on my offer to trade either a Merlin, Billow V2, or Griffin 25 for it. :D

I think you'll be waiting a while, Steve...!

This is truly the best tank I've purchased since I began vaping. If it wasn't for VU and the great members I probably wouldn't own the tank. Wealth of information available in this fantastic thread Steve started.....!

I agree with you my friend. If I didn't feel that way I would have never talked about it as much as I have. I know tanks are more about individual tastes than mods are. To me mods can be measured in numbers and numbers don't lie. Tanks on the other hand are more about taste and that can be tricky. The last thing I want is to talk about something and have my friends buy it and be disappointed. Because of that I'm leery to talk (recommend) about tanks.

The absolute worst thing about the Supreme for me is that it makes my other tanks taste like they are muted to varying degrees. I never thought that before getting my Supremes. With all that being said I can't believe I ordered a Limitless Plus instead of another Supreme or Supreme Lite :crazy:. My worst fear is, it is also going to taste muted in comparison. If it does I'm done buying anything but Supremes :D

Cheers,
Steve

I think you're going to be all right. The Limitless Plus is everything the Limitless should have been and the flavor on the Limitless is great. Just make sure you cut those wicks down by the glass.

I'm curious about just what happened, I'm thinking that the firmware up grade may have changed the battery setting from 2 cell to 3 cell but not sure if that would happen or not.
Did you end up opening a ticket with Evolv?
Well if we want to give a try . We have nothing to lose lol . Just let me know . I will even PM somebody my cell number if you want to txt me . So we don't explode the 133 thread ... I sent them a email and they haven't responded yet

You know I did, I copied you my order. If that was rhetorical then :D:giggle:.

If it was serious then maybe I'm not the only one losing it

I ordered the SS316L Claptons (28, 32 and 26, 32) and a boatload of SS430. We can open up the SS430 wire shop after my order comes in. I know you have enough to circle the globe as well.

PS I was only messing around with the above post my friend ^^^^

:gaah: Still haven't gotten mine yet. Following the trend of this thread, hopefully it will get here before the limitless plus.
