I don't know how low an RX will fire, but those ohms u posted are ridiculously low.... .06...damn near a dead short...!

The RX has garbage wire inside it, this I know, it will get real hot using a normal coil @.30 ohms.

She will fire .08 on any of the TEMP modes 316L, Titanium, ni, and sometimes lower but not for long. The cables are so thin that she will get hot as hell and even die.... Safer to keep her at .10 or above.... Or rewire her with 14 gauge and she won't get hot at all .......

It will get hot as hell, from the mod passing it through the body and 510, from the internal cables and from the batteries....... It is a small bomb waiting to go..... .06 is low ....

Has your mod made it home yet, after the overhaul?

I think it looked like 18 gauge it was thin...... With 14 gauge you touch the fire button and it fires immediately..... No lag

You should start a thread so folks can get their RX mods upgraded so they are much safer....!
I had mine for almost a year, and learned a lot... From not using the silicone case, take for example what we are talking about in relation to heat and put the RX200 in a silicone case.. She will be hotter than a $20.00 whore......

I've bought four of them, some seem to get hotter than others, piss-poor QC, but it should be expected for a $38.00 200W mod.

Thanks for the comments guys. She was brand new last week. So im guessing its an updated model. Unfortunately the usual manual doesnt tell much.

This happened as I wasnt meant to have titanium, one as it gives me ridiculous dry mouth reacting with a certain med of mine but the guy in the shop was a d!ck and gave me the wrong packet.

So.....im going back to trusty kanthal. But I dont know what to build.....

Any suggestions for this mod, my tank is the avocado 24 so something to give loads of flavour and a nice cloud too. Happy for single, dual, quad coil

Once you take her apart to change the color screen, you start seeing that she is not hard to work on..... Anybody can do it. .... There are so many YouTube videos......

I wonder why folks don't spend time watching videos...... Its all about learning and bettering the methods you see. ....

Stainless steel works well.

Are you familiar with http://www.steam-engine.org/coil.asp?mat=ss316&r=0.4&awg=24&id=3

Build parallel coils..... 6 or 7 wrap kanthal 26 gauge on a 3.00mn bit .... (2) coils should ohm out at .50

Yep, will work just fine...low-low ohms does not mean flavor and cloud......:vino:

People need to realize juice is very important in cloud production..... Using a gnc Palm oil naturally sweet and flavors that are VG or oil based, and using minimal PG...... Will give you massive clouds 85vg/15pg..... And when the VG is good quality it's real sweet, so you don't need sweetner......

But that's another thread.......

All my liquids are normally max vg or 80%+ so i understand that. Im just trying to get the balance with coils also. Scotch roll the cotton also?
Use gloves or touch the cotton as least as possible...... Oils from tools, old ejuice, and other stuff will get in the cotton and change the taste.......

I'm currently using Cotton Bacon v2 and it comes cut I twist the end and shove it in the coil...... I touch it as least as possible. ...

Once you put the cotton in the coil, cut it and then fluff the ends..... That way the absorb quick ....

The cotton inside the coil should be a bit tight since its the part that will take heat...... If you don't pack it it will burn and in a day or two will no longer burn correctly and if you try to pull it, you will see it simply breaks. .....

What the hell does "70f" mean, it can't be the temp you're vaping at because the rx doesn't go that low and you couldn't have meant 700F because it doesn't go that high

way too low. between .1 and .2 works perfect for TC. No reason to go lower IMO. also the RX200 isn't one of the best TC devices and won't fire that low anyway. I'd suggest a different mod or better option, different build.

On TC I have seen it go .07 .08..... Not on kanthal

May be your mod. IDK I don't have that mod........

First thing I thought by your description is the Ti wire is NOT Ti wire. or mode is wrong.

IF I set my mod to TC Ti and load a Kanthal coil. It flashes 070, and fires at full (battery?) voltage. Then it switches over to VW automatically, on next push of the fire button.

Does this mean Titanium could be firing at .06 on TC mode

Sent from my 710C using Tapatalk

Technically the mod can fire the build, in TC....... BUT, from I am seeing above the mods circuitry is just not heavy duty enough to handle the AMPERAGE loads. Hot atomizer means big coil and lots of watts, Hot Mod means lots of AMP draw.

The device monitors resistance increase, to let it know when to limit power. If you're vaping 0.06 ohms, and the coil rises 10 percent in resistance, then the new resistance at temperature would be 0.066 ohms. This may not be enough of a resistance change for the device to recognize that a real temperature rise is occurring.. Couple that with the fact you're probably freaking the damn thing out anyway with resistance that low.....................

Thanks for the help guys. Ive gone back to kanthal. Had a look at the steam engine site but dont know which coil option to choose. Just about to build 4 2pc twisted coils from 26g kanthal with 3mm diameter at about 8 wraps.

Lets see how she goes.....just have to wait an see for the ohms :)

Stepping up I see..... I just slammed (2) 4 core SS316L wrapped on a 4mm bit, and 7 wraps...... Ha ha you can put a pencil through that bitch.

Jon, try rayon.....it's tasteless, and lasts 5-times longer than cotton, wicks like a sob....!

Needs to be tight in the coil, with loose ends.
Rayon rocks..... I just orders some 25 feet......

Rayon can last sometimes (2) weeks..... It's amazing how it barely burns ? What's in there ?

Sent from my 710C using Tapatalk
That's what I like about it...even after a week of heavy vaping. Pulling the wick out it's still white where it was in the coil.

Yeah doing the best I can :) I was thinking, maybe going 2 pieces twisted together with 30g wire wrapping the twist, spaced on an angle. Evil looking coil id be thinking. That setup looks shit hot manny!!

I just found out that im not to charge the rx200s through onboard USB. It can unmarry the batteries?!?! Dont charge them at the same rate and can cause major issues. Ffs!

The batteries I bought with it have only ever been in this mod, if I put them in a charger, will they re marry if they have divorced?
