Well that's a good way to break your wrist. Just get a nice pump action, I
Nawww... it's pretty front heavy and I have pretty strong wrists. I have long guns too, but when working the farm, I need both hands free, so I must carry something on my belt because even a shotgun/rifle slung over my shoulder gets in the way. But I carry because if a fox pops up while the guard dogs are otherwise occupied, it needs instant response. Somehow I cannot see it working to look at the predator and say, "Can you wait right there for 10 minutes while I lay these tools down and hoof it back to the house to get my coach gun?"

on another subject a bit of trivia.
Why does Yankee Doodle Dandy call it macaroni when he sticks a feather in his cap?

Morning Rix, so you'll be on about the time I'm heading out to celebrate a friends birthday. Alcohol, microphones, kickin sound system, gonna see if we can get the neighbors to call the cops.
"The sounds coming from that garage are awful, I think they must be murdering someone, all that wailing and shrieking and screaming":D

Morning wompers! I'm thinking of getting a Wotofo Serpent as a birthday present to myself, would that be a good atty for me to try? Baby steps....
I haven't tried the Serpent. Serpent mini is pretty good though. You might consider a Merlin, super easy to build on, quite adjustable for airflow with the removable airflow reducer. Might be a good step up from the STMs, give you an idea of if you would like the more open vape while still letting you get it tighter if you don't like it open.

Thanks! I'll look at the Merlin too.

The standard Serpent is nice. A bit more open than a STM using RBA. I like mine. bought 3.
How are your hands holding up?
The part you have to grip to adjust the juice flow is a narrow thing. Need a fair grip, esp till the tank gets used a bit.

My grip sucks! I have arthritis in my hands and where I work is making it worse in a hurry! Sucks getting old!

AND...the Merlin is ordered! Thanks kadly!! :):) Should be here around birthday time! :stars2:Next up..trying to get the day off so I can actually celebrate my birthday! :giggle:
Didn't expect you to order it till you got some more input from others, but you are welcome Lady Lynn! Hope you like it. If by some chance you don't, I'll buy you something else and swap with you, but I think you will like it.

I have 4 Serpents now (full size) and I love them because they're infinitely adjustable. I can adjust the airflow (I like it all the way open most of the time), and if I want to sit and chain-vape, I can adjust the juice flow separately. I have really bad hands, but I don't have any trouble with the juice flow adjustment. I can close it down a bit for the occasional vape or open it up further if I'm chain vaping. I never get a burned taste off those tanks, ever.

Good choice! It's a really nice tank, and perfect to start building on. The flavor is great. I'm vaping my usual morning vape on one right now.

Morning all! Late start today. Threw a pillow at the dog and slept in. I've been enjoying my 200S. Working nicely so far. Need to read that manual over a few more times and translate it into something I actually understand so I can use all the modes including TCR. Holding off on the new firmware update until I see a bunch of posts saying how great it is before finding out it bricks the mod.

Had a quick run at the "other" place to answer some PMs, and poked around. Womper pews is dead. Rest of the place just has R1 randomly moving threads around to whatever subforum he thinks is appropriate and where it's bound to dies from a lack of attention, so same old, same old.

Yeah, but it's hard to make time to keep up with multiple boards (at least for me). Only reason to keep a tab open most of the day was when everyone else was there. Now that this tab is mostly open, I'll pop over there a few times a day to follow up any interesting threads and PMs with folks, but can't read everything there and everything here so I have to settle somewhere.

There are still plenty of nice members over there so I'm not cutting anything off, but lot of nice members here as well to get to know.

WINNER WINNER Chicken Dinner!
I'll bet that under 1% of US Citizens know that.
Actually, I seem to remember a slightly different (though very similar) take on that...

There are several theories as to the origin of the word “Yankee,” but the prevailing theory is that it was a dismissive reference by the British towards American colonists and the Dutch origins of many of the settlers of the northeastern colonies (which is why American southerners today still refer to northerners as Yankees, though most of them have no idea why). It is believed to be a corruption of Janke, or “little Jan,” a common Dutch name.

The song “Yankee Doodle Dandy” was popular among the British as well as the rebels. A “doodle” was a simpleton and the phrase "stuck a feather in his hat and called it macaroni" implied that even the backwoods bumpkins could put a feather in their [coonskin] hats and think they were as elegant as Europeans in the latest Italian style -- the "macaroni."

As Andria pointed out, those people were “dandies” (the elegant class) but the song itself implied even a country bumpkin (doodle) tried to be in that social category.

That is true. And the take I have on it.
I was just wondering how many realized that macaroni was slang for posh, elegant, etc and not the totally tubular pasta.
A very good overall description. You were the one I was expecting to respond.
Andria surprised me. I had no idea that she was a history buff.
