I'm in the market for a new mini RTA and I've narrowed the field to the Griffin 25 mini or the Herakles mini RTA. Anybody have one or both of them and have a recommendation? I've got a Bellus, Tornado Nano, Serpent Mini and Crius and I like them all. I'd like to keep that trend going. Let me know, thanks!

I have the Griffin mini 25 but haven't used it yet. But I can highly recommend the Wotofo Serpent mini 25 using the single coil deck option haven't tried the dual deck yet. The flavor & vapor production is stellar!

Yeah I considered that one too but I think I want one with a bigger deck. I know the Serpent mini 25 comes with a velocity style deck as well but it's not all that big. I'd like to be able to put big ol' fused claptons in whichever new one I get. Although I will say that I use my Serpent mini 22 every day. It basically hasn't left my Evic VTC mini since I got it.

Did you check the measurements on the Griffin 25 mini to the Serpent Mini 25? I don't think it's that different. I can check for you but not til later in the day. Let me know if you want me to.

Even though the decks in either aren't very large I'd still get the Griffin mini if I had the cash to throw around. The Griffin 25 had a smaller deck and a dumb wicking system but I still enjoyed it and it never leaked. Very well built.
The only Herakles tank I used was horrible so I'm biased. I built on it for a friend...once. He hated it too. Some people love them though.

The Herakles mini has a good deck. Nice big velocity posts with the two big wick ports (shared between the coils) instead of the four tiny ones, and the airflow is like the RTA-2 (two huge slots) instead of like the original where there was airflow under the posts as well as under the coils. It's stil quite different from the Griffin mini's deck though. If I had to choose I'd say the Griffin mini has the better deck, and I think I'm leaning toward the Griffin anyway.

Well I ended up going with the Griffin mini. All the reviews I've seen say the flavor is just stellar (which is my main concern) and the performance is excellent as well. The only downfalls I can see are the fact that you can't remove the build deck without draining the tank first and that it plows through juice incredibly fast, even moreso than most RTA's. But I think the flavor is going to be worth it.

I had a griffin 25 mini but i lost a few weeks back. It was one of the best tanks i ever had and i plan on re-purchasing it again soon. Like you said the only downfal is that it guzzles juice but its a trade of for the performance and flavor..

You are right! The dual velocity deck on the Griffin 25 mini is much larger than the Serpent Mini 25. So much so I didn't have to measure.
Have you ever used the standard serpent mini? Right now i use the serpent mini everyday. Its my early mornin tank. I always keep a bakery flavor in there and vape it with my coffee for the first hour or 2 of everyday. Im considering either the serp 25 mini or another serp25 because i love it so much. Do you know of any major differences in flavor, production, or overall peeformance? Or is it just the same thing in a bigger size with different deck options?

Why can't you remove the deck with a full tank?
The rate at which a tank guzzles juice is entirely up to you.

I have the Serpent mini 22mm I use it for short errands as I would have to refill more often. I love the Serpent mini 25 it of course has a larger capacity, the flavor & vapor production is stellar I think the airflow is a tad more. I have only used the single coil deck. No leaks, I can highly recommend!

Because the deck is what holds the whole tank together. If it had juice flow control you'd be able to do it because the metal part above the deck/airflow control section and just below the bottom of the glass would be what held everything above the deck together. I hope that made sense.

The Serpent mini 25 is supposed to be really good. I've heard that the flavor and performance are pretty much on par with the 22. I've got the 22 and I love it, so after the Griffin mini I'm probably going to get the Serpent 25, too!

I see what you mean. The deck holds the glass in place.

Hey there

I have a serpent mini 25 but I am having trouble building a single coil.

Can you please tell me your best build and wicking tips?

Thanks

Hi! I used 28*2/32 gauge Claptons, 3mm id 6 or 7 wraps (I forgot) but can check if you need me to. .84 ohms. Remember to wrap it under & over (lefty style). I used rayon but if you're using organic Japanese cotton, make sure it's not too tight or loose in the coil, comb thru the wick tails with something pointy to remove some density. Using the base of the deck as a guide cut your tails & tuck gently behind the ring.

Hope this helps! You will love it!
