Drawing a blank while trying to create a pear & vanilla ice cream flavor.

Hello.

I have wanted to make a "pear split" flavor, that is pear and vanilla. I live in Sweden and here one has been able to buy a ice cream on a stick for probably 20 or 30 years by now that I want to re create, I met a dude once whom had made a juice that tasted like that but with a prominent added flavor of some cereal which I didn't care for at all.

But I have no idea who this guy was, anyway, I have tried a couple of pear flavors, INW, TPA, FA and FW and I have played around with pear(mostly FA) with vanilla flavors but I haven't been successful.

I am not sure how to explain what I want but let me describe the ice cream(I am not interested in vanilla bean Ice cream or similar vanilla flavors nor any custard flavors, I don't experience them to taste anything like what there names suggests, they are actually quite horrible in my mouth and the only nice thing with them all is that acetoin creamy flavor which all acetoin flavors contain).
The ice cream is a vanilla ice cream which is coated in a thick layer of green pear "ice" ice cream, don't know what it os called in English but generally ice cream contains dairy products but the outer layer is one of those non dairy ice cream, similar to what you get when you freeze water and strawberry juice or something.

So the pear is very juicy and has a nice "fruity" kind of flavor, I wouldn't say sour but you now that nice feel that such Icy ice creams has during a hot summer day, and the vanilla flavor isn't very prominent but it adds a nice background to the pear favor.

All my attempts has turned out to taste pear but the vanilla doesn't get along with the pear at all, it's as if they hate each other and refuses to play nice.

Next I will try pear with nothing but vanillin, as vanillin is a good friend of fruits, I believe, flavors like strawberry and blueberry doesn't get along very well with flavors like Vanilla Swirl(TPA) or Vanilla Classic or Vanilla Tahity from FA I find but vanillin does get along with those flavors very well.
That's how my mouth works anyway.

Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

Regards

Sometimes you just have to go through a ton of brands to find the combo that works. The differences between ejuice creation and cooking are actually larger than I originally expected, with these artificial flavors acting quite differently than their natural counterparts.

I think the Vanillin idea is a great one. If that doesn't work perhaps try a very mild cream instead, like FA fresh cream. Or Koolada to simulate the ice. Most folks love INW shisha vanilla but it's probably too strong for this recipe. If all else fails try that as it's my favorite vanilla.

Or even maybe a natural extraction of a vanilla bean? I never tried that but perhaps someone else here has. Good luck!!

Quite the opposite for me, as I think the fruits + Vanilla Bean, etc., work great mixed together.
However, I have always added TFA Dairy Milk, or FW Milk, or Hangsen Cream, etc.

Have you tried just using any of these mentioned, maybe with a bit of Vanillin added?

I have been very disappointed with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, the best was TPAs but I don't like it, that one and many other similar flavors contains a spicy flavor which I really can't stand. It's a shame because Vanilla Bean Ice Cream(TPA/TFA) is a flavor that would be one of my very favorite flavors if it wasn't for that spicy note, Vanilla Bean Gelato is better due to a lack of that spicy note. I have written off the following flavors due to disliking that spicy flavor:
French Vanilla(TPA)
French Vanilla(Delux)(TPA)
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream(TPA)
Vanilla Custard(TPA)
Catalan Cream(FA)
Vanilla Custard(FW)
Vanilla Custard V1(CAP)
Vanilla Custard V2(CAP)

About half of those is flavors which I besides of that spicy flavor think is reallt nice and I feel it to be a great loss that I can't stand that spicy flavor and can't get rid of it, not that I have been trying to do that because I have no clue of where to even begin.

I have been using Fresh Cream and Sweet cream with different recipes but I have recently bought TFA Dairy Milk and TFA Malted Milk but I haven't even figured out what those adds to a juice. I have placed a order in which I will get one or two yogurt flavors as well.

But I will try using Dairy Milk+Vanillin & Malted Milk+Vanillin and also Dairy Milk+Malted Milk+Vanillin.

I don't know why but I have been a little lost about how to use those milks, but this sounds as a good test, thanks.
I will also give VBIC one last chance and this time use almost ridiculously small amounts, as that for me offensive spicy flavor is present at 1% which I used last but as the % gets higher the spicy notes starts to be more and more dominant so maybe I can use VBIC at 0,25% or something like that, I wonder what kind of fruits one could think my disguise that spicy flavor...

Very odd as that ones on my "bad list".
And love all the others you mentione, don't find any of them spicy.
But I don't use them stand alone either.
You may be more sensitive to Vanillas tho.
Most of the Dairy/Milk/Cream stuff are a bit different so you may get better results, hopefully.
Best used with fruits like INW Shisha Strawberry to soften, add creaminess, and sometimes sweetness, except Fresh Cream isn't sweet at all.
2% is a good starting point for me, but I'm usually adding it to recipes in combination with VBIC.
Range could be from 1-5%+ depending on your taste buds.
You could also try 1% VBIC, along with 2%, or more of TFA Dairy Milk, but mixed with a fruit.
But again, I don't use any of the Vanillas and/or Creams stand alone.
Although I did make a 5% stand alone with DIYFS French Vanilla and it was quite good.
And I don't have any problems with custards either, but I keep them lower, like 1-4%.

Strawberries & Cream
Peaches & Cream
etc.

I haven't tried the FA. I don;t know what the TFA pear is supposed to be, it's not pear to me, though I do use it in a couple adv's. Whatever it is, it's unusual which is why I like it. I think the INW Pear is the best for a straight up natural pear, so I'd stick with that.

So you could try combining that with TFA Bavarian Cream, which to my palate represents "creamy vanilla" but lacks the diketone "spiciness" you mentioned. Another possible pairing for the Pear (hardy har har) would be Hangsen French Vanilla Ice Cream, which is nothing like the USA VBICs. I think you'd get a very clean, uncluttered flavor from those two.
