Help (RDA)

I have a Cool Fire IV, 40w but I tend to run it on 30-35w. I am looking to get a "dripper" tank but I need suggestions for a tank that will work on my vape and what coils to use with a 40w vape. Thanks☺

You would need to get a mouth to lung rda/tank. And you will need a coil close to or above 1 ohm.

Although there are some people who like a direct lung hit at less than 40 watts so ultimately it's up to your preference

To be honest 40 watts is going to be too low for the design of drippers. You should probably look to upgrade to a 100 watt mod. then you can build good on drippers at about 60-80 watts for a DTL hit

Incorrect there at alot of older model drippers with reduced chambers and smaller air holes. IGO-W comes to mind there is also other versions if the igo. When I started the highest watt mod was like 15 or less it's been a while.

Edit to add if you meant today's drippers then yes you are mostly correct. Personally I don't do the low wattage vape but I'm sure there are some drippers designed for it today though I don't know any. Oh aren't there some single coil drippers? That could be used at less than 40 watts if built correctly. I enjoy dual coils so I'm no help there either.

lol it depends. but even older ones not so much. one of my 1st RDAs was a patriot and i had an 11 watt evic and it wasn't near enough to power it even with a single coil for any decent vape. thats why i switched to mechs and starting squeezing 4 coils in the patriot to get a good vape out of it. I didn't go back to regulated mods until about 2 years ago because they came a long way in those 3 years i was away from them. its possible he might me able to find a small RDA to get a good vape at 40 watts but maxing it out isn't gonna give him much battery life

For 40W I would use a small chamber flavor RDA like the Derringer.
It's too small to hold Claptons but a single or dual twisted coils will do nicely.

Yeah I agree those vapes weren't the best and you said your self at 11 watts you weren't happy but what about 20 or 30 watts?

While I do agree that a 100 watt mod is ideal and you can get them for cheap. The OP asked specifically for his mod and since he has that mod I wanted to let him know it's possible. Plus we have to start some where and I'd rather a guy start with 1ohm coils than .2 or .3 ohm.

Well igo w, magma and like nightshade said the Derringer. Look for small rda size and short in height. Single coil might be better but dual is possible again it has to do with your build.
