Dadgum, that's a smart mouse! It's weird how cats have such a poor sense of smell; a dog would have been all over that poor lil guy, but as long as it holds still against that similar-colored wheel, the cat can't see it at all.

It's a real-life Tom and Jerry.
I always wondered about that instinct to be absolutely still that so many prey-animals have, but now I get it; if they're well-camouflaged visually, it's a perfect protection strategy.

Or God forbid going on a business trip for a week. Or *gasp* taking my husbabd with me and letting the cleaning lady come in and feed the cats. They hate that with the fire of 10 milliin suns.
