I'm a moron. Let's get that out of the way first. Reminders that I'm a moron will not be necessary here. I exposed my mod to too much moisture... some must have gotten in the charge port and battery vent down bottom... Stupid ice/rainstorm...
My SMOK R80 TC. It is vaping, and it is charging, apparently. But some weird things are going on.
-It thinks it's charging, but it's not. After the screen times out, i tap the fire button, and it will show the charge indicator [e.g. "Charging 73%"]. But it's not plugged in. SOMETIMES I will plug it in and then it doesn't think it's charging... Even when the screen is showing the regular stats, the little battery indicator will indicate as if it's charging, but again, it's not.
-I cannot turn it off. For those of you familiar with the firmware, I go to the last main menu item, which is power on/off, and no matter how many times I press + or -, it will always say "power on" and be unable to switch to off. All other functions with the +/- buttons seem to be working fine [changing wattage/temp, changing coil material, changing TCR, changing fixed resistance, etc. etc. etc.].
I have reset the device many times, which is accomplished with a paper clip by pressing the recessed "reset" button in between the + and - buttons. Same problem recurs.
I mean, it's not totally broken, but it's frustrating. Should I try the old "bag of rice" thing?
Thanks
EDIT: Note that the R80TC has an integrated battery, so I sadly can't just remove them like 18650s.
