Hey
@conanthewarrior you don't need to run the NEF or ArcticFox software. You can use the Joyetech/Wismec updater software to install the .bin file to your mods.
There are differences to the two versions of the software,
The "myevic" version has a different menu system to it, and allows you to adjust everything on the mod via sub-menus. The seem to be pretty logically laid out, and it is pretty easy to use and make adjustments on the fly.
The "arcticfox" version has roughly the same capabilities as the other, but I haven't found a way to make all the adjustments in the mod. It's more like a DNA in this regard, it needs to be programmed via the arcticfox toolbox ala escribe style. I'm not a huge fan of this, as I don't want to carry a laptop around with me to adjust my mod.
Either way, both are easy to use in their default modes, and both not only look good, they make the mod MUCH more adjustable. Give it a try, if you don't like it then just reload your original firmware.
One other option might be the linux installer, since MAC is a variant of linux (albeit heavily modified), it may work right out of the box. While I do have a MAC, I have NOT tried this yet, so I don't know if it is easy or not to get it working.
HTH!!
