Lol. Mine actually has a problen with the pin. I had to stick a o-ring under it so it wouldnt short out...
I think I was screwing my tanks down to tight. I just have a aspire k1 mini on it. And I just broke my Nautilus glass. So Im pretty much dripping. Lol
The only thing with a 50 watt it im worried the battery wont laat long if I am running it at 25 or 35 watts all day sense it only has one battery
Well im getting into rdas, prolly just dual coils. Ill be picking up RTAS someday to. I dont if ill do much sub ohm type builds though.
You dont need anywhere near 50w if you arent going to sub ohm...your i stick can support 1 ohm..An mvp 20 watt is known to fire down to .80 ohm even though rated for 1 ohm max...the mvp is also rated 2.0 volts more in voltage mode which if im not mistaken means the mvp is more capable than rated...
I did a 1.3 ohm on my evod tank and it was more than i expected...i moved up on ohms...i like 1.7 to 1.8 range and keep power down because i use a thinner gauge wire (30g) to build my coils...longer battery life and still a great vape with flavor and clouds..i could use even less power with 32g wire....Sub ohm with thick gauge wire is really what super high wattage devices are intended for..doesnt mean you cant have a good vape with less power and thinner coils...you can make any tank you like whatever ohm you want really within reason...space inside the coil head will determine its limits..
I can get 11 wraps of 30g in my evod...tried 12 and 13 and think i had some issues...11 wraps is a killer coil flavor wise in a basic kanger single coil tank and chucked out some vapor as i have my breather holes drilled out to 5/64...Ive seen some rba's not produce as much vapor as i have on youtube and its more a mild lung hitter now as opposed to a mouth to lung type draw...I can do an easy 3 second lung hit and its better than the evod was a full 7 seconds straining to draw in air with stock holes....i try a 10 second lung hit on the kanger now and i choke on it...thats why i personally am not seeing super high power cloud chasing devices in my future...You may find you like it however and thats all good.
Bottom line is you can find alot of vapor and flavor with lesser power and thinner coils if you wanted to...the thinner the coil is the less power it takes to heat it and you use less power at lower ohms than you would a thicker wire at the same ohms....Its an alternative path is all..less costly one at that.
EXAMPLE:..6 wraps of 30g gave me 1.3ohm...11 wraps gives me 2.3ohm...at 1.3 ohm i used less power to get the vape i liked..at 2.3ohm i needed more power because it took more wire but gave me better flavor...Dont base power needed on just ohms but more so on wire thickness and how much of it is used....If i did 6 wraps on 26g i would have less ohms but need the added power only because the wire is thicker..not because its less ohms.
Now, the general consensus is ,the more wire covering the wick the better the flavor is and more vapor you can produce..So if had room to build a 20 wrap coil on 30g i could..but the ohms would be so high it would take an extreme amount of power to fire it ..so im going backwards in a sense...So people move to a thicker gauge and use less wraps but with more wick coverage...Its a give and take with coils and power needed...Im still learning more about it everyday...but i know enough to know i dont need 100 watts or even 50watts to blow some decent vapor and get great flavor.
Dual coils naturally use alot more wire so more power is needed to fire double the wire you would have with a single coil at any ohms...Ill be seeing how much more as im getting a 1.5ohm emow tank from fasttech...ill build a single 1.5ohm and compare the difference in power needed to fire them to get the same vape.
Battery life equals low ohms on thin gauge wire ,on a single coil.
Prepare to buy alot of juice with the rba as well... a good RTA seems to be the way to go... a kanger subtank mini is in my future...1.5 ohm 28g kanthal build for coils...maybe 11 12watts of power needed if that...ill enjoy that on my mvp i think.
