Hi Jimi. Wow, a lot of conversation here last night.
It stinks so much that we have to worry about leaving stuff in our own yards, that some brazen sumbitch will at least try to walk right up and steal out from under an older person. I keep a loaded revolver under my bed, and would be tempted to fire a few into the air, but we live out in the middle of nowhere, and all our neighbors would do the same under those circumstances. You have enough going on without having to lose sleep over those sorry POSs.
You and I have a couple of the same mods, and they're good ones, too. I also have a Sig 75 and a Pegasus. Also a couple of Sig Mini Books, an Evaya, and two Sparks. I like Sigelei mods. Would love to have the Aspire kit that
@Heartsdelight had up for sale yesterday, but can't afford it right now, and don't need it anyway. All that though to say that if you ever get in a pinch and need a mod, I will send you one. I have more than I need and would be happy to help out. Actually that goes for anyone here who is retired. Fixed income can't be fun, and it's staring me in the face. I hope I can keep working for a few more years yet.
On other matters,
@Draconigena I wish we could have some guineas. Won't do until we have no cats. My Maine Co.on would have a feast on a guinea, as would the bobcats and foxes. They'd be helpful, though, because the ticks are terrible here, beginning right about now.
@The Cromwell my husband would have a fit over your F100. Seems like he's told me he had one before I met him (1974 - we've just had our 44th anniversary on April 19). I'm sure he'd agree with you about preferring to lose the Toyota. He's just bought a 4WD 2008 Nissan Frontier, and of any of the newer trucks he's had, this thing seems more solid and heavy-duty. Think he really hates that he bought it, didn't want to spend the money, but I told him he needed to get something that would last him, because when I stop working, we won't be buying any more vehicles.
One thing about buying trucks, they're expensive, but they do hold value well, even beat all to hell. The prices on trucks are just unbelievable.
@Lady Sarah I am continually amazed by the things you know how to do. You are handier than a lot of husbands. Just wish you weren't in such pain, if you have to do hard work like that. What you said about fellas using your lawn mowers, well, that's what my husband says about me using his mower. So I don't use it any more. Don't like yard work anyway.
So good morning to everybody, hope you slept well and will have a great day! I'm working at home today and then making dinner tonight, and not much else. Boss has given me a chance to work from home for a couple of weeks while I load up on vitamin D, B12, and iron - deficient in all three and been feeling like hell warmed over. It is helping. I feel very nearly human this morning.
Take care.
