Right on, the garden will take off like hell now...!
Speaking of... damn, everything I mowed just a couple days ago needs to be re-mowed already, and there's enough weeds in the garden to keep someone pulling for several more days, and I have logs to saw and fences to build and... I am getting tired just thinking about it all.

You don't have a flock of goats? They'll take care of the grass AND the weeds, and just leave fertilizer behind.

No, we'd have to eat them all every fall or pay more to feed them through winter. And the cows and horses are not keeping up with the pasture growth at the moment, so I'm not turning them loose in the yards yet.

I got a text message late last night from the GF, she got a (few) young chicks too.....said the guy was going to kill them. I told here I will too when I get there. Hope she plans on eating Peking Duck and Chicken Alfredo.

But, rabbits are so delicious. Just like the ducks
I can't eat rabbit....just the thought would make me gag....although their supposed to be good.

The national meat delicacy in EC is Guinea Pig, incredible....couldn't eat one of those either...used to have them for pets when I was young.

I've shot and eaten many rabbits. Smaller rodents just don't have enough meat to make them worthwhile. The only problem with rabbit is the lack of fat, which has to be made up for at another meal.

Me too, but I don't like them, or pheasants, ducks, geese, quail... all way to greasy tasting for my tongue. I only like the white meat on chickens and turkeys. I far prefer beef.
My favorite cut of beef is the heart. I tend to like more exotic foods, but that's me.

Anyways, it's my bed time. See y'all tomorrow.

OK. G'nite, Sarah. And I guess that means I am the last man standing (OK, sitting), so I'm gonna turn out the lights now and go cuddle the kitties.

Remember back when we were told not to get drugs from Canada (cheaper) because they were not made in the USA?
Now the majority of our drugs are NOT made in the USA and many ingredients to make the drugs come from China.

Don't you just love it when they pass laws to prevent you from getting certain things from other countries, based upon harming the economy? I think big industry does a good enough job doing just that.

Ok so I’m an old phart and getting older by the day.

I didn’t come to the realization until one of the kids were shocked that I grew up in a house without internets or streaming television.
-the youth of America today.

My son once asked me what kind of video games we had when I was a little girl.

That was in 1988.

Didn't take long for the kids to fall in love with video games!

Not at all!!! Thank goodness we have a good WiFi provider nowadays. Hell hath no fury like an 8 year old without WiFi.

Saw a youtube vid of a teen ager trying to make a call on a rotary dial phone.
Was pushing the heck out of the numbers in the holes first:)
Then was shown how to dial and asked how would she know what number she had dialed with no display?
Final training was to pick up the receiver before dialing :)

kids....

Never needed WiFi when I was little. There was no such thing as internet. The only video game I had was Pong.
I had a stick and a rock.

One thing... the sisters did NOT hog the bathroom since it was an outhouse :)

My schoolhouse only had 1 room with a potbellied stove in the middle.
Water pump and 2 toilets outside.

I walked about 1/8 mile each way to catch the school bus.
And it was only uphill one way... Well actually both ways since there was a dip in the middle :)

bought my first bicycle at about 12 with money I earned putting up hay for a neighbor for $5/day.
Was used.
But was wonderful!
