There is a shitload of info on the interweb regarding thyroid problems in dogs, but we don't really know if that's the problem....correct?
Yes, and I have been reading a great deal of it. But you know how we traced the stomach problem back to the kidney and that back to the thyroid? Well, why stop there? What caused the thyroid problem? Most vets are saying it is likely genetic or the dog's own immune system attacking itself, but that doesn't fit too well in my mind. I shall keep researching...

It's really ridiculous what they charge for blood work, talk about ripping the consumer off, but nothing new there.

Yeah, absolutely everything is overpriced. If I had my own CT/MRI/X-ray machines, why would I ever go to a doctor/vet? I think I have read every book the docs have read, so why should I pay them to lie to me about what they don't know? And I know from the crap they tell me, they certainly are not any smarter than we are. Sigh...

Gotta push big pharma shit, that's about the only reason their in business, unless of course a leg needs a cast after a bone is realigned. But if you had the machine, you wouldn't need him/her for that either.....so TRUE.

Too bad I can't buy the machines and go into business for myself.... Oh, wait, then I'd be one of THEM. Oh nooooo....

Well, I'm gonna take some of my own medical advice now and see if this old body can get a good night's sleep so maybe I can be of some use to someone after Lannie shakes my ass awake in a few more hours....

Nite you guys. Yak at ya tomorrow.

Not yet, Jimi...haven't had time to make a batch.

Do you make large batches and put it in the frig, or just drink it fresh?
I make one days supply a half gallon and drink 8 oz every 2 hours or so. If you keep it in the fridge more than 1 day it starts to loose it's nutrition.

Kinda what I thought, the last batch I made couldn't drink it all, didn't taste (as) good the second day, altho it did taste good enough to drink....but you can notice the difference between fresh and 24hrs.

SSDD here
I'd like to say the same for here, but our high temperature was only 19 and the current temp is 6. They said we might get 1-3 inches of snow today, but by dinner time there was at least 8" on the ground with drifts over foot. It was very hard to trudge through that crap with the twisted ankle. Spent a lot of time pushing a shovel, at the barn, chicken coop, house, and garage. I truly wish I'd never see any more snow in this lifetime....

Yeah, I feel totally worn out too, so I'm gonna make an early night of it as well. Jimi, I guess you get to turn off the lights again.

Is it really blue :teehee: ?
Naah all green although bluegrass can have a bluish look when viewed in the correct angle and lighting.

I plant Fescue 31. tough and grows better on poor ground.
If kept mowed is a nice lawn. Left alone it gets very clumpy and big.

Naah it really rains here. They get mostly sprinkles or showers at best.
I lived there...

Yeah, so did I, and I recall many months where it rained every single day...

While you were there, didn't you have one of their famous bumper stickers?
"Last year, 365 people fell off their bicycles.... and drowned."
I think that was governor McCall's way to say:
"Californian's, you don't really want to come here because it rains a lot."
I suspect he had never been to San Francisco (where I got extremely wet each time I visited).

Well, Juice, I have to go dozing a tad bit early tonight because I have to start the monthly shopping two hours earlier than normal tomorrow. Don't know how well my system will take getting up at Oh-dark-thirty... Sigh.

Smoking v vaping: Watch lab test results
If you're going to try to quit smoking in the new year, try vaping, a UK government advisory body says.

Public Health England has launched a campaign video showing the dangers of traditional cigarettes, and has carried out an experiment demonstrating how e-cigarettes are much less harmful.

I remember some asshole did a similar thing with vapor only to try to "prove" vaping was the big scary - that one was trotted out for months
