The other day I got a wild hair and decided to soi g up a single core clapton... Ni80 29/36 I think. Popped one in my Xeta and one in my Tripod. Super crackly and satisfying compared to my usual Vandy Vape Ni80 2x32/38. Anyone have any insight as to why this would be? It's less surface area so it's got me puzzled.

Larger crevices.

The width of the pitch valleys are greater on the single core.

Forgot to add, that is mainly the reason I run 30/40 claptons... the popping of 60/40 was annoying to me ;) and flavor wasn't that much different to using a 28/38.

Just a thought, I think the smaller crevices in a FC fill with gunk at lower wattage and actually become counter productive. I've tried several variations of the VV superfine in SS and Ni80 but I keep going back to a simple Clapton or round wire depending on atty, air, juice. All subjective of course.

Just put a plain 28g Nichrome 80 7 wrap, 2.0 mm ID in the Xeta. Still like the Dvarw better.....too bad it doesn't work in a BB.

Pasito is pretty damn good! I got it today, switched the DL coil for the MTL one, loaded my ADV ....closed the AF all the way. Brew likes it! Now for the RBA part, I might try 3.0 mm ID 30g Nichrome 80

I use a 2.4mm coil but 28g. 30g may be better.

Nice! I wasn't sure if it would be tight enough of a draw for you.

Wide open I find it just a tad tighter than I like, but its doable

Those SSPP panels are nice, might move quicker on facehole.
Been trying to convince @Mykreign that he needs an Xeta but he's too busy stalking a bx9 to pay much attention....

I have them on FB, Reddit, and here. Lots of questions but no really commitments.

Found my wife's old squonker laying around decided I'd give the Jorda B another shot. Mixed up a new Banana Cookie recipe I've been toying around with. Great MTL with a ton of flavor!
I think this makes eleven setups now...

Happy birthday Shady dude, many happy returns.
Thanks Brew. This birthday hasnt been a great one honestly. My grandmother passed away on Tuesday and this bullshit flavor ban announcement yesterday hasn't allowed me to enjoy it much.
It's all good though as I've had 36 that were all awesome previous to this one. Plenty more to come too, especially since I QUIT SMOKING WITH FLAVORED VAPOR PRODUCTS.

I'm sorry for yelling. Again.

Happy birthday man! This week's been insane for me too. Had 4 different bad things happen in my family. You're not alone. Hope you feel better soon!

Loosing a loved one always sucks. Our prayers are with you and yours. Many years ago (when my dad passed) someone told me that our loved ones aren't really gone, they live in our memories and that is true to some extent but we still miss them. Stay strong and safe.

Anybody have a SS button they would trade for the authentic spare 510 key I have that doesn't fit the SXK?.

i am thinking about making a solid pure silver button, thinking. why, because i could. actually thought about a solid gold, but that would get costly.
Just keep in mind that pure silver is very soft ans sterling will tarnish. Actually, pure silver oxidizes too, but much slower and silver oxide is a good conductor (though you don't need that property of it). I would much rather use argentium, it is harder and tarnishes very slowly.

Hey xeta dudes, how low can you run your tank with those dumb side wicking holes?
Mine will run damn near dry with a little residual left in the bottom of the tank.

I recently saw a method where you position the wicks up against the Boro glass and backside of the tank and that causes the liquid to be channeled up to the wicks better.

I'm going to try it out the next time I rewick, but I worry that it will push the wick up, creating a space in the wicking port, and flood my shit haha. I use a 2mm coil so there isn't a lot of wick running through mine, even with those little grub screws to close the gaps off a bit.

Side note: somebody buy my stuff so I can purchase my second Xeta before I get banned from the group and have to hunt one down second hand.

Please.

Logically changing seems ill advised.

No change: Works, wicks, vapes well.

Change: Possible moving of the wick against the door and cause flooding

But but but... tinkering! It's what we do. I HAVE TO KNOOOW!

Then again, that leads to me most of my addictions/problems. Coffee (yeah I know, Don), wet shaving, vaping, beer, smoking barbecue, cigars for a while, beard oil. Wish I could get obsessed with working out but that shit sucks donkey balls any way you slice it haha
