Along with the homeless people this morning. There is a homeless guy that rode his bike past my job site every single day, and everyday I get him a sandwich from dunking doughnuts when I get my morning coffee...and he almost cried every day. One morning he was sitting at the entrance of my job with a big smile on his face. He had won 500 dollars on a scratch of and bought a room at the cheap hotel across the street for a week. He had a breakfast sandwich and a large hazelnut coffe with cream and sugar in his hands for me. I said "man you didn't have to do that I was getting ready to go get yours for you" he said "you made sure I had something to eat everyday for the past 62 days...today it's my turn." I lost it right there. He now works for my dad's construction company as a cdl driver (my father and I payed for his classes) after being homeless for 5 years he lives in one of my dad's trailer parks and is engaged to be married early next year and he has asked me to be his best man

Yes I guess he is. But I didn't really didn't do anything big. Just tried to help the fella out. I might need help some day too. It brings me great joy to bring a smile to someone...not matter for how brief a moment

Yea he is a good guy. every time I see him I say good morning and ask him how he is doing and he responds "just another day in paradise"
The Gospels pretty much....Corinthians...getting close. What I have been reading over and over is "What Does The Bible Say About......." I have yet to find a better reference book, not only regarding Scripture...but to seek wisdom. So many will dismiss that wisdom in the Bible...but regardless of the title, or authorship.....it is full of things that just make sense. An astounding amount of that wisdom can be found in the works of Aristotle, Plato, Parmenides......Kant, Jung....on and on.
The guy I told you about that asks me to go to church with him all the time. He had a pretty good response to my questions of how he knows it's real. He said that it is either real or the greatest hoax of all time. If it is real and you believe, repent and do the right things you get to hang out in heaven for eternity. If I happens to be wrong, you live a better more honest life and get to give to others all your life. Then he asked "where can you really go wrong" I didn't have an answer for him

I'm extremely picky in the "homeless" that I help out. Around Indy they have done exposes on the people looking for corner handouts and in 100% of the people they followed, after putting in a full day, they tossed their signs to the side, then climbed into decent cars and drove to their homes. Sickens me.
That isn't to say I don't help those who I believe need help. In a town we lived in there was a guy who always sat near the grocery we went to. He was in a wheelchair and obviously belonged in it because of clearly having leg issues, and sort of had that look of someone who just needed help. He never begged, just sat in his wheelchair taking handouts whenever they were offered.
Every time we went to the store, I walked out with a bag of bread, peanut butter, jelly, and some fresh fruit for him along with some plastic knives and paper plates for him. Occaisionly I'd ask him what kind of sub he was in the mood for and I'd get him a fresh one from the deli in the store.

It can be a tough call. What I look for is if they LOOK homeless....do they SMELL homeless....do they even have a plausible story? In my area, we have a great number of what are termed "Moochers". They are fully able to work, and clearly bathe regularly and have clothes that look clean and in good repair. They also tend to be young, and ask for cigarettes. A person that is TRULY in a desperate lot, has much better things to spend money on than smokes. I pray for all of them...but if I give away all of my money to anyone who asks....then I will have to make my own sign.

Same.....my someone has been silent this evening. There is activity out in threadland....just not here so much. In her defense, she has been quite busy at work...and not feeling well. Poor lass needs more rest than she has been getting.bored

It is pretty easy. When it is installed...it will put a folder in your user directory called "Dropbox". Just drag and drop whatever files you want into that folder, and they are synced to your account in the CLOWD.
