Thanks! It’s important enough for people here to watch and learn what’s going on. In one of the comments, someone mentioned Quercetin and how its similar to chloroquine. I think it helps the body uptake Zinc. It sure helped me!

Five Incremental Changes to Make Before the World Re-Opens


Phases are set to stun.


By that we mean, cities across America are in various states of opening their doors – cracked ajar, opened but the threshold remains uncrossed, ripped off the hinges and flung into the lake where everyone is now swimming.


Plenty of us will still be flattening the curve by staying home as much as possible, but not everyone has that luxury. Businesses are reopening and in-person employees will be getting used to the new normal – which looks an awful lot like the old normal, but with masks, gloves, and at least a yard stick’s length between all humans.


We’ve done some real searching, thinking, and learning over the past few months.


We’ve talked about allostatic load and the toll it takes on the mind and body. We’ve talked about why it’s essential to take extra care with how you speak to and relate to yourself right now – this has not been a vacation. We’ve talked about how to spread the emotional workload by using emotionships, and how to remember to support those who need it (even when you’re floundering yourself.)


And now that the world is reopening, you may feel guilty for “squandering” this “gifted” “time”. Maybe you didn’t accomplish everything you thought you would – maybe you inched ever closer to a goal you’ve had by using sister skills!


If you’re starting to panic…


Don’t! There is definitely still time to do the work you want to do to make yourself the kind of person you’d like to see in the world.


Let’s take a look at five ways you can remain focused on your goals…


Wear All of Your Least Favorite Clothes


Was one of your goals to pare down your physical possessions? For most people, the most overwhelming thing about clearing space in their homes is their closets.


We gain weight, we lose weight, styles come and go – and yet the average American closet is fit to burst. On average, women’s closets globally have around 103 items in them, about a quarter of which they consider “unwearable.”


While you’re still home, wear all of your least favorite clothes.


It’ll likely give you the push you need to get rid of them!


Perfect Your Form


What have you been working on – calisthenic exercising? Your QIgong practice? Your singing?


If you haven’t gotten as far as you wanted to, at least do this: make sure your foundation is strong.


How’s your squat form? Are you letting your weights lift you when you’re lifting them? How’s your running stance? When you sing, are you breathing from your diaphragm? Can you do the scales completely? Have you yet to achieve peace while practicing QIgong? Is your spine in the proper alignment?


Nail the basics!


Get Closer to Your Partner


Regardless of your stage in your courtship – just a few virtual quarantine dates, living together, married for eternity – every relationship can be improved with a little bit of TLC.


2020 hasn’t been an easy year for anyone. It’s understandable if we weren’t all caring for the people we love to the best of our abilities.


Think about what you can do right now. A special date night? A book they’ve been mentioning for a while? A love letter? Extra time committed to exploring intimacy? A partner-themed day where you do their favorite things? Relief of all of their duties for one day?


Sometimes, a little gesture goes a long way.

Keep a Plant Alive


For some of us, the biggest hurdle to jump in starting a garden is figuring out how to not kill even a succulent.


Maybe you didn’t get there yet. That’s alright!


You can always start over. Read about why certain plants need more water than others, about testing soil before you plant in it, about the best way to use a tiny space for sustainable vegetable gardening.


But mostly… don’t give up! Get another plant. Try again.


Do a Toxin Flush


Quarantine gave a lot of people a chance to cut out some less-than-healthy habits. If you’re not driving past fast-food joints, it makes it a lot easier not to swing through the drive-thru.


If you were trying to train yourself to avoid toxins not just in your food, but in your life, you can start with a few simple moves.


Eliminate plastic from your kitchen – replace tupperware containers with glass, get rid of teabags in favor of loose leaves, use beeswax wrap instead of plastic sandwich baggies.


You can send bloodwork to a lab and find out exactly the level of metal toxicity in your blood, and determine a course of action from there.


You can completely eliminate processed foods from your diet!


Any and all steps towards a well-rounded and healthy lifestyle counts.


There is still time. Practice deep breathing, pick a path, and take one single step in its direction.

Your story of “not enough” is what is keeping you from having the health, life and relationships of your dreams.



Hey,

When I was 4 years old, I would spend hours looking in the mirror and make my eyes slant upwards like my barbies. (my eyes slant down)

When I was 10 years old, I felt shame for the way my muscular gymnast thighs jiggled while sitting in the car.

When I was 16 years old, I felt unlovable and ugly when one of my closest friends' boyfriend asked me if my face looked like that because I had down syndrome. (I believe everyone is beautiful now btw)

When I was 20, my motivation for exercise was to manipulate my body and have a nice butt since I didn’t have large breasts.

When I was 23, I stayed in an emotionally abusive relationship because I started to believe what he said to me about myself.

When I was 25, I followed another boyfriend up crazy mountain trad climbs even though I was terrified because I wanted to be loved.

When I was 27, I began to endlessly study and fill myself with endless training and medical knowledge...Eastern and functional….so that I could be the best.

And so it went…..

Until about 5 years ago, when I finally realized that I had spent a lifetime not feeling worthy. I realized that I was putting my value outside of myself and was not making choices that were true to me and my own needs.

This is when my health and life had a radical turn around.

I speak to so many women who are attempting to change their health and life by addressing the circumstance or symptoms. They are following protocols and taking a slew of supplements.

But you can’t change a circumstance to change your thoughts and feelings.

You can’t create the results you want this way. You have to change the inside first...or at least at the same time.

My story is not unique.

I am just one of the lucky ones that has woken up.

Women are constantly programmed to question their worth and value in every way.

Society teaches women that their worth and value is dependent on what everyone thinks about them.

We are not taught that we have inherent value just for existing.

I am not saying that anyone literally pulled us aside and told us this but we all absorb the message in a variety of contexts.

Why else would my 4 year old self already feel less than for my appearance?

The general social trend is that other people’s evaluations of us create our value.

Examples of this are:
* How our body looks (especially to men) is more important than how it feels for us to live in.

* Making other people happy is more important than making ourselves happy. You rarely hear as many men saying “I feel guilty for taking time and prioritizing myself”

* We are taught that the most important thing is that other people like and approve of us.

* We are led to believe that as we age, we lose our value so we strive to look 30 forever.

* We are constantly trying to get certain types of feedback from men and other authority figures.

This is how we become reliant on external validation.

Not because we are weak, we have been raised from a young age to care more about external validation than our internal experience.

And this is how so many women become sick and stuck in their lives.

They are no longer tapped into themselves.

They no longer know what they need or how to give themselves what they need.

They don’t know how to have boundaries or invest in what would be best for them.

When my son turned 2, that’s when I realized what I had been doing and I decided in that moment to create a new story.

And this is why identifying the emotional cause of dis-ease is part of my 5 step process in the Inside Out Program.

I knew I needed to share this important step in healing.

So many women are failing in their health not because they aren’t doing the right protocol or eating enough vegetables.

No, they are failing in their health because they are still letting stagnant emotions and limiting beliefs in the subconscious run the show.

It’s not until you shine light into all the dark places that you can really reclaim your health.

Your thoughts and emotions dictate how successful you are in every area of your life.

In order to thrive and have what you want, you have to claim it.

You have to wake up to the truth that you are worthy.

Dental Hygiene During a Pandemic


In the movie musical "Little Shop of Horrors," Steve Martin plays a dentist who revels in horrifying his patients.

Fortunately, going to the dentist while COVID-19 is still circulating doesn't have to be that scary. There are guidelines designed to protect you — and the dentist/staff — from exposure.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), American Dental Association, and most state dental associations urge dentists and hygienists to wear N95 masks and suggest head-to-toe covering be replaced after each patient. HEPA air purifiers, what are called far-ultraviolet lamps, and well-directed heating and cooling systems also minimize the risk of transmission.



So before you go, know that:

  • Excellent at-home dental hygiene is essential. Your best bet: Brush and floss twice a day. You can postpone a cleaning if you're super-conscientious about daily care.
  • The CDC recommends dental practices prioritize critical dental services. If you need emergency dental work like an extraction or root canal, don't wait. Delay can cause you more pain, require more time spent in the dentist's chair, and add up to larger dental bills.
  • When you call the dentist office, ask for a rundown of their sanitation measures. For example, the CDC says, "To clean and disinfect the dental operatory after a patient without suspected or confirmed COVID-19, wait 15 minutes after completion of clinical care and exit of each patient to begin to clean and disinfect room surfaces." That lets airborne particles settle, so they can be removed. Make sure they're doing that!
