Hey Juice! Long time no BS with ya. Yeah, I lnow, that pic should have been in the pussy kat thread. Oh well...I can't see any of Draco's posts, all are little squares with question marks...
I can see it great and how cute this is! I usually just have one kitty in my lap. Other one is not a lap kitty at all. Sleeps with me though on the bed.'OK, did that work?

Around here, given that there are 12 cats who live in the house (11 - one just got run over on the highway, but a tiny feral kitten wants to move in and take his place) and there's approximately 10-15 ferals who live in our tree rows and/or in the garage, the likelohood of me (Crazy Cataholic) having only one in his lap (or half a dozen on the bed) is very low. They know a sucker when they see one and take full advantage.I can see it great and how cute this is! I usually just have one kitty in my lap. Other one is not a lap kitty at all. Keep working on him Deb. I have found that almost all cats WANT to be domesticated and will respond to any human who treats them nicely, eventually becoming your friend. He's all black and I want to try and have him trust me enough to at least hopefully get him in the garage as it gets closer to Halloween
I assume you live in or near a city... Reno? Lost Wages? We are so far out in the country that the word "neighbor" here means a mile or more away (ranches are rarely in sight of each other on the Prairie). We're kinda one of those places where people drop off what they don't want and I can refuse no little person who asks for shelter.People do dumb shit out here to black cats that time of year
North of Vegas and honestly, the area we are in is pretty decent and we have good neighbors so even if I didn't get him in, as long as he stays in the neighborhood, I think he will be fine. I am the same way. I'm already thinking of how to make a little house for him for the winter. It doesn't get all that cold here, but still. The heat of the day, he has plenty of shade here at least and there is lots of water. He likes spreading out in the grass. But I'm still going to work on it and hopefully at some point he will come inside and we can take him to our vet etc etc. He's quite sweet, takes the treats from me very gently. I believe he may have belonged to someone at some point and they dumped him. We get that a lot here. People know we are old softies in this neighborhoodKeep working on him Deb. I have built cat houses in the past and the funny thing is that cats will climb into a cardboard box quicker than they will bother with a $100 custom built mansion.I'm already thinking of how to make a little house for him for the winter.

Oh that's awful. I hope no one was hurt. Sorry that you're going to have to deal with all that mess now.And now a note to the weather weary... (yo, @inspects !)
We've been having thunderstorms off and on all week now. Started last Sunday with a forecast of "10% chance of scattered thunderstorms." 10% usually means it ain't gonna happen. What we got was a super cell, violent severe thunderstorms with continuous lightning, power went out for about three hours, rain so heavy you couldn't see 10 feet, golfball-sized hail (broke windows, removed paint from two sides of our house, dented the metal roofing) and severe downdrafts and microbursts (100 mph wind), one only 50 feet from the house that ripped several big trees right out of the ground (if that had hit the house, it would be gone with us in it), ripped the top off a pine tree and threw it 30 feet. We lost about a dozen full trees and literally a thousand limbs are lying on the ground all over our property (we'll be cleaning up this mess for months).
This was followed the next day by another one, but this time the winds were only about 50 mph. More limbs down. Two more days and another one. Getting a bit gunshy here because this kind of weather is just not normal on the west side of the state.

Thanks, Deb, but the damage is still in process. There is another severe storm going on outside right this minute. (el;ectricity just came back on 5 minutes ago) I won't know until after sunrise tomorrow what all this one did to us.Oh that's awful. I hope no one was hurt. Sorry that you're going to have to deal with all that mess now.
Thanks for posting this. I went and checked the ingredient list on mine and it does not have any ethanol/ ethyl alcohol in it. PhewFDA Warns Consumers of Risk of Methanol Contamination in Certain Hand Sanitizers
July 2, 2020 -- FDA is warning consumers and health care providers that the agency has seen a sharp increase in hand sanitizer products that are labeled to contain ethanol (also known as ethyl alcohol) but that have tested positive for methanol contamination. Methanol, or wood alcohol, is a substance that can be toxic when absorbed through the skin or ingested and can be life-threatening when ingested.
The agency is aware of adults and children ingesting hand sanitizer products contaminated with methanol that has led to recent adverse events including blindness, hospitalizations and death.
How's the storms now. Have they all passed?
Went all night long last night. So far tonight, they are south of us and north of us and I am projecting a shield wall (mental image) to divert them around us. This shit is just way too stressful (if I owned a cigarette, I'd probably smoke it - somehow sucking on this vape binkie just don't cut it for high stress situations... Sigh...).How's the storms now. Have they all passed?
