For

for realz.
so....do you swing a ping or is that to pedestrian for a Swedish poi boi?
I’d love to golf (I have a number of times) but afraid my OCD and golf would be worse than shiitakes, powder sugar and pineapple combined.
plus I’ve looked into golfing apparel and golf thongs and putting shorty shorts are expensive And I only go for the best. Even if I don’t golf I might have to get that golfing thong. The built in putter holster is worth the $$$.
You think your shorty shorts are expensive...wait till you buy your BALLS...?

Oh by the way, it was my Giants that made me barf, not your shorty short shorts. Back to back games the same relief pitcher gave up 4-5 runs in the 9th inning. Then yesterday we lost like 15-3 or something. BARF!

not a dr. But sounds like type 2 or prediabetes or onset or a few other descriptors.
theoretically, diet and exercise along with an oral med can reverse that in many cases but then there are people like me that are just genetically doomed to become a full blown diabetic. I hope you are a member of the better type.

ironically, I had my endo appointment today. Everything is nearly exactly the same as my April appointment. My A1C is 8.5 which is way higher than it should be. They download all info from my pump and hawt doc comes in (I think she’s hawt...never seen her face because of the mandatory mask we all wear) with a folder of my downloaded info and sat staring at it flipping 2 pages back and forth. She finally said that I baffle the crap out of her. I had a glucose reading of 136 at 1pm and a reading of 289 at 2pm and back down to 84 at 3pm with no insulin blouses. She said the spike she would think was from carbs but the big drop without an insulin bump baffles her. And she said she sees that Often and she sees it in reverse (high, low, high). Lol.....I got that from my dad. I try to explain how his diabetes was but his was 1 in a billion type whacked.

Thamks

Fasting blood glucose is usually around 6.5 and apparently under 6 is properly behaving blood glucose

HBA1C hovers 5.5 to 5.7 which is apparently not good enough to make my doctor STFU and leave me in peace, but not bad

Really I shouldn’t ‘like’ this...hope the tests are good.

My doctor sent me a text to say that test results were not great, so I should book an appointment for a lecture about being fat

On a completely unrelated note:

dr "hi, this is (first name)" (i didn't expect that)
dr "you are after test results. They are all much the same, i wouldn't worry. I wouldn't worry about anything. None of it matters, nothing does"
me "are you coping ok with telehealth?"
dr "it's hard, thanks for asking (rants for 5 minutes)"

granny, granny, dear granny

i have had a long day

too sad for pants
Doggie doggie doggie! I too am too sad for pants. Our beautiful forest acreage up north is being totally threatened by a 60,000 acre wildfire. It’s come within a mile over the weekend, now again from another direction. Very few resources on it as it is all forest service around, no structures. Ours is the only private property for miles and miles, also undeveloped. Hubby went up to check on it, then into nearest town, where his Jeep, 16 yrs old, finally died it’s final death. (he’s rebuilt it several times but this is catastrophic. He was 300 miles from home. Got towed to sis-in-laws and is 100 miles from home but AAA won’t cover any more mileage. It has been a totally sucky week, watching a fire map constantly. Road in to our place has burned (hubby drove through fire on roadside coming out) and we couldn’t get back in even if we wanted to.
