I need to figure out what I'm doing wrong with this thing. TC is horrible. Pulsy and weak. I get far better TC out of my VK530 and even the newer Smok mods. The SX Mini G Class does great TC. I have to be doing something wrong.

I learned something today that I never really thought of before. I opened up the Lotus and realized that I had it mixed up with another one and this one was in desperate need of cleaning and rewicking. Wicking degraded pretty bad and the coils were all black and crusty.

I left those same Ti1 coils in there, but cleaned it all up and rewicked it.

TC improved en hundredfold. Still not exactly where I'd like it to be yet, but WAY better. I even had to back off the TCR a bit.

It now occurred to me that if the build is degraded enough it will heat up a lot faster and probably will effect the processor's ability to track resistance and therefore have a negative impact on TC.

At least that's the theory for now off the top of my head.

In any case, rebuilding it made a huge difference.

Yuppers...even the usually very solid DNA75 in my VTinbox has it's limits.
I'd let a SS fused clapton in the Goon get super-gucked without realizing it and man was it draggin' azz...but slowly over time so I didn't realize it.

One downside to TC IMO, is that it can cover a lot of sins. In a straight mech or even using wattage, ya know in a hurry. ;)

I think you're right about this.

With wattage or especially a mech, it just burns.
Yep. I know what's wrong with that, and how to fix it. :)
With TC, the board can dance with the coils and have you wondering what exactly is going on here.

Like with this SL Class. Started to ramp up, then off, on....off, on... off... etc. Like the processor was in an arm wrestling match with the coils or something. It wasn't sure what to do with this burnt up build that doesn't wick anymore.
