You guys the like bionic men of the Alternate Universe!!
Do the metal detectors go off when guys go through them? I always wondered that. Please don't be offended by that question.

I have not flown since having all the hardware installed, but my understanding is that it depends on how sensitive the detectors are set and I'm supposed to travel with medical documentation for proof if they do.
Don't know that I'll ever fly again though because of the comfort issues. If I do, I'll be medicated out of my mind though so there will be other suspicions to worry about
My daughter qualified to go to a national medical competition in Florida last summer and we decided to drive down and make a vacation of it since the comp was only 3 days. It saved us on her airfare which more than covered all the travel expenses and my parents have a timeshare so the only thing we really paid for was food and entertainment.
I had to be out for the drive and the next day to recover and then pretty heavily medicated each day because of the activities. Same knocked out routine for the trip home.
Will be doing it again this Thanksgiving for a trip to share the holiday with parents at a timeshare near Hershey PA. Looking forward to all the chocolate though
