Oh IMI! I had sciatica once and I came close to passing out from the pain trying to make it to the bathroom. I truly hope you get some relief.
Thanks. Unfortunately I have permanent nerve damage.

Because I end up sitting in a recliner or sometimes laying in the bed, it has led to problems with my sacroiliac joint. Basically the ligaments that hold it together are stretching out casusing the joint to basically separate and that causes pain.

They can do injections for them to help manage it, but it takes like 4 or 5 injections because the joint is really long.

The TENS unit is to see if we can delay the injections because they are actually bad for the bones if you get them done to often.

Don't have the cd with my images ATM but mine looks pretty similar but at S1-L5 and L5-L4. They left L4-L3 and L3-L2 alone for now, but they will probably have to be done in the future. Also have some degeneration up in the T levels, and I'm pretty sure up in the C's as well.

I was diagnosed with degenerative disk disease when I was 20, so we've know I was in for all kinds of problems since mid 1991.

You guys the like bionic men of the Alternate Universe!!

Do the metal detectors go off when guys go through them? I always wondered that. Please don't be offended by that question.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I537
I have not flown since having all the hardware installed, but my understanding is that it depends on how sensitive the detectors are set and I'm supposed to travel with medical documentation for proof if they do.

Don't know that I'll ever fly again though because of the comfort issues. If I do, I'll be medicated out of my mind though so there will be other suspicions to worry about :)

My daughter qualified to go to a national medical competition in Florida last summer and we decided to drive down and make a vacation of it since the comp was only 3 days. It saved us on her airfare which more than covered all the travel expenses and my parents have a timeshare so the only thing we really paid for was food and entertainment.

I had to be out for the drive and the next day to recover and then pretty heavily medicated each day because of the activities. Same knocked out routine for the trip home.

Will be doing it again this Thanksgiving for a trip to share the holiday with parents at a timeshare near Hershey PA. Looking forward to all the chocolate though ;)

Longest I drove in one shot was Norfolk to Colo. Springs.. 29.5hrs... Lots of Oreos, Coffee and NoDoze ;)

If your not in a rush.. Pre-book hotels and do NOT make them '10hrs apart' 'cause you think you can make a 10hr, non-stop drive.. I ended up driving 12hrs+ a day @80-80mph just to make it to the next one for 4rs of sleep..

Actually just looked at my latest MRI and remembered that I don't have any plates, I have rods. The images actually surprised me because you can barely see them now that the muscles and bone have grown over them. The screws show up across 3-4 images and are not as defined as yours.

Wonder if it would look different in an x-ray instead of an MRI?

4 times. It depends on how fast you want to go. The best trip took about 3 days longer than necessary. Sight seeing was a blast. Muscling through on sugar and caffeine is not a blast and sucks ass. Do you camp? If it's the right time of year, there are tons of campgrounds. Off season but not too cold (or hot) was awesome. At most of them there was no one else there. Cheaper too.
Make a plan but be flexible for sure. Shit happens. Don't forget the camera. Parts of this country are stunning. But there are parts where I was just stunned. lol

Holy crap. I hope that sumbitch is found! Glad everyone is OK! A truck hit my friend in Vegas last night, Her poor little toy Fiat looks like it got punched in the face. It was parked in the driveway at the time.
