IM just looking for a basic understanding of what hey do and how they do it. theyre are basically a relay/fuse that takes the amp load instead of your switch correct
If you just stuck the switch in between the battery and the coil the strong current can cause the switch contacts to weld themselves together. You'd need to remove the battery or the atty to stop it from firing. There would also be arcing between the contacts when you activate the switch that may eventually reduce current flow to the coil and/or cause the switch to get hot.but whats the benefit of them? I fry one of them instead a switch? I dont see the plus side
