I don't have a match with 8's. Kwanzaa is still ongoing. Tomorrow is the last day. To me Kwanzaa is a lovely holiday tradition celebrated by millions around the world since 1966, growing each year in popularity. It is very much about teaching children.

I love hearing children's voices in recorded music, so I have another one from the CD Kwanzaa for Young People. It has a little history lesson in it.

It's an unmatchable title unless anybody else has Kwanzaa music, so the next person can queue from the previous title.

The thing about playing the game for so long is sitting in this desk chair. I'm taking a break for a cup of tea in my big chair, and then I'll come back and see who's still playing. If everybody goes home, then good night and happy new year.

I've been hearing fireworks last night and tonight. When it gets close to midnight I think I'll go out back and see if I can capture any pics of the display from downtown.

I'm not going outside anymore. I went outside my back door and it sounded like gunshots. When I shut the door there was a BIG gunshot boom that sounded like it was aimed at me. I know it's only fireworks but it's scary when you're not in a crowd of people in a party atmosphere in a public plaza.

They have been shootin fireworks off here all night too. Some of them do sound like a gun shot.
When I was a kid we lived out of town and it was just the custom to go out and fire a couple rounds into the dirt mound.

I don't remember when fireworks weren't somewhat illegal, to buy and sell anyway (I'm not clear on that). My dad knew where to get them, and we had fun with sparklers, roman candles and a few other things. Bottle rockets? I think. Anyway, he supervised. Nobody ever got hurt. I won't ever remember where I got it, but somehow I had a firecracker to throw at a cop car in my bad old days when I lived in Dallas.

Same here fireworks, except for sparklers, have been illegal since I was 6 or 7 years old but every year someone is lighting them.

I told myself I'd keep playing as long as anybody else was playing tonight. I got up at 430am this morning but I had a nice long nap around 11am. My point is Jimi, while you are still recovering from the bad flu I don't want to keep you up all night (like the Talking Heads song). Feel free to yawn and call it a night whenever you feel like it. I'll understand and wish you a happy healthy new year.
