Well how's the retired life treatin you my friend?
Better
Worse
Almost busier than when I was working... Honey do this, honey do that... But I'm loving it.

I've got 28 Jalapeno and Fresno peppers in grow bags and connected to a drip system I set up. And my daughter this weekend gave a cucumber. Zucchini, and a cantaloupe that she started and I got those put into grow bags with drip as well. I've got a trellis set up, now I need to convince them to grow vertically.

Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White
-Manu Dibango with Cuarteto Patria

Most stupendous version ever of this beautiful classic composed by Marcel Louiguy, the same guy who wrote "La Vie en Rose". Any song in the world will be enlivened by Cuban percussion, in this case from Cuarteto Patria.

Manu Dibango passed away in March of 2020 😿

That sounds great, glad to hear you have stuff growin, I can't wait to see it. Grow bags work great with a drip system, and can be very productive but "any" home grown food tastes far better and is far healthier than store bought, who knows what the store stuff has had sprayed on it through it's lifetime.

How are you doin tonight my friend? I hope you had a good nap.

Thank you Jimi. You're always so thoughtful to inquire.

When I stated that about a nap, I'd been working since early morning and my eyes were closing. Business was at a lull, so I decided to grab a nap, but as soon as I did the phone started ringing, so I gave up. My good fresh groceries were all gone, so I convinced myself I deserved DoorDash for dinner. Had a couple of chalupas, and put the enchiladas in the freezer. Now I'm back to work, trying to get caught up on some deadlines.

I'm getting convinced that these temps we're seeing are a fraud. Of course it's hot. When is it ever not hot in mid summer? But the crape myrtle and mountain laurel trees are not in riotous bloom this year, for lack of rain, but drought isn't really the same thing as abnormally high temps. I heard a podcaster who somehow documented that these temps, many of them posted by national services, are fraudulently given much higher than they really are, to promote the "climate change" agenda.

I go to sleep at night with the a/c set at 77, and always wake up freezing and turn it off. I've had it turned off today since about 2:30. It's still off and my place is comfortable.

Well that's enough from me.

I hope you had an enjoyable day and got your sore muscles limbered up some.

I'm listening to a Mike Adams podcast. I'm not promoting Mike Adams. I only need to say that his redneck attitudes toward some social issues can be off putting, but he has been living a nearly self sustaining life for many years, and has brilliant ideas and advice about that, based on experience.

What I want to share is that he's talking about Web 3.0, which he says is operable on a "packet" basis, without central servers, and that the internet kill switch won't kill it. He compares web 3.0 to bitcoin as being de-centralized, so government can't interfere with it. It's in this podcast today, starting at 44:30.

Also Adams' politics won't be everybody's politics, but this podcast is shared only for the purpose of learning to work web 3.0 so as not to be in the dark if the internet kill switch is used.

I've seen maybe six vids now, bursting into flames on the street and burning down the building it was parked next to, a guy whose electric scooter burst into flames in his apartment, on and on. And it creates horrid pollution and uses child labor to mine the materials for them.
But but but....it's all good for the planet. Who cares about the children.
(Yes, being very sarcastic)
