In fact I think they are going to be building on mod on show for others to learn. Think it's a reg sx350 chip tho

Has anyone tried or been successful on taking the board and putting it into a dual 18650 box wired in parallel. I love the chip but hate the single battery. Not much of a fan of the screw in battery cover. Thinking this chip in dual batteries would be the end to all mods. Thoughts?

I have a Hana v4d and the battery life is awesome. Works well with 2 batteries in parallel

Great. Thanks. I may hit them up to see if they have pondered it yet

Nate was saying on the show he is more them happy to build a temp mod but would have to get chips as they only have reg sx350 right now

I think you got the last of my VTC5's!
Did I get batts off of you? I know I got a rDNA 40 from you a couple months ago.

Nate's a cool guy and a lot of ppl are digging on SPC boxes but I am just not a huge fan of Hammond enclosures. There are a couple exceptions though and maybe SPC is one as well.

The rDNA had a VTC5 in it...or was it the rDNA 30 that had the VtC5... Damnit! I go through so much gear I can't keep anything straight!

I just checked out their site.. very nice and your right some of their boxes are totally awesome. I sent him an email to see about the possibilities of building a custom SX M mod using dual batteries and the lighted LED switch (it looked cool lolol). Hell I would send him my SX M to gut if needed....

I use both brand new Samsungs and 10 month old Sony VTC5s, always ohm'ing out in the .08-.1 range.

On that note, i am curious myself on how the whole volt display thing actually works on the SX mini. Like in standby right now if i look at my mostly full battery meter it states 2.65v. This # can change at times (go lower) if i quickly tap the fire button. When i fire the device, right now set at 32 J/480/standard, it will start lower then cap out out at the 2.65v mark while not letting it go over.

So is that they actual volts the device is firing at? Coming off Kanthal vv/vw devices, that # just seems so low to me. Yet the power is there.

If I'm understanding your question correctly. When your in Joule mode there appears to be a two separate tables or calculations the device uses to determine it's output voltage. One for the Joule setting and the other for the Temp setting. The voltage displayed is representative of what voltage is being applied to the coil which also takes the current resistance into account. So for example if you set you Joules a bit higher you will see a slight increase in the voltage reading. The same applies if you set the temp higher "Providing your reaching that temp" in the first place you will see a slight increase in the voltage displayed. Set one or the other lower and you will see slight decrease in voltage displayed.

I just took it out the box, and its a different finish that the other one was. it has more texture and feels more durable, time will tell I reckon.

Yea I know the feeling. I was looking at posts and one of mine was "deleted from public view by moderator" with a comment of Knock it off. No idea wtf post even was or why it was deleted. Kinda retarded how that's run IMO.

I think it just said "Modeator" nothing more. But now that you say that I think my post probably said something like:

Problem 2. ) Post out of context.

Because all I seen was Lips around Evolv's pecker.. lol So I knew it was directed at him on my ignore list.

Sonicdsl has a thing with g man. He banned me too some time ago when I replied to one of g man's hallucinations.

Technonut doesn't stand the dna fan boys (g man included) which translates in a few bans for them but you need to watch out for sonic. He probably got some free boards under the table. I can't imagine someone actually sympathizing with that moron without having his hands greased somehow.

Yea, and that is where I have a problem....

I'm not one who goes looking to start shit, but when you have someone like Dr. g, whose posts and comments are outright bullying people, there is where I have a problem... One of the best ways I've found to beat a bully is do or say something that gets to them, gets under their skin so to speak. So if I got under Dr. G's skin enough that he reported me, then good!

The ban doesn't bother me in the least, because it shows the true colors of the staff over there. If they let bullies run amok, and kick off anyone who dare stand up to them..well, that's not the kind of place I want to be associated with.

And after taking this thread WAY off topic lol

I can say now that I'm a week in with having my SX Mini M Class, that I stand by my first observation. This is by and far the best mod I've ever owned. Period.

Now the only thing to make it complete, would have been if they could have incorporate a beer opener into, the design somehow lol

Time for jwrap lol that sucks m8 sorry that happened, Just got mine the other day luckily before any scratches, also got a clear silicone sleeve on it's way.

I notice one scratch last week and figured I must have done it without realizing but now I notice that it's just flaking off. I order wraps last week and they are supposed to be delivered Today. Just sucks that I spent $200 on a device and the finish is flaking off after just 2 weeks

What section is the bulk of G's posts in the dna 40 threads?

Man that sucks. So far no problems with mine but I have only taken it out of the house a couple times. I hope this paint can hold up and does not need a wrap or skin for it.

The black on black one I got yesterday with the New finish just took a spill thanks to an idiot (not me) knocking it off a table and there is no sign of a Blem at all

It's not a exact fit the one thats on it now came off my iPV mini 2, Just ordered a clear one for the Sx Mini and will use a razor knife to open the window for the screen up some other then that everything else lines up, power button, up and down too. It fits very snug just like my sharkskins do with my Rdna40
For around 6 or 7 bucks it's a no brainer for me just glad it works.
I will post pics of the clear when it gets here and after I cut out the window some & the usb port. for now here are some with the blue one unmodified.

question folks...
with the sx mini m class...lets say you replace the occ nickel head in your kanger subtank...its 10:00 pm and 59 degrees in the basement room were you leave the battery mod and tank until 5:00am the next morning...plenty of time for a temperature stabilization to occur...lets say for sake of argument, when you set the baseline resistance its .121 ohms... you now place the battery and tank in your breast pocket, drive to work, put in a couple of hours working with the mod and tank still in your breast pocket, exposed to body temperature for , say, 2 hrs, before you take a break for a vape...the baseline you set first thing in the morning is no longer the baseline due to being next to your body and being exposed to 98.6 degrees for several hrs... you should reset the baseline resistance for its current state...correct?
or is setting the initial room temperature baseline all that is required for vaping at a miriad of air temperatures throughout the day...
and, what is room temperature...55 degrees, 68 degrees, 75 degrees? i for one, dont vape in the same room all day/night...
i am terrible at trying to convey what i mean...hopefully someone understands what i am asking and can answer my question...thanks...

mine is almost all gone where my fingers go. Once it starts it will keep flaking due the oils etc on your fingers. My Jwrap will be here today :)

I got my jwrap today and I'm not super happy with it. The wrap is so thick and cut to perfect size, that the edges are now sharp where yihi round them off. I suggest setting it back just a touch behind the start of the paint

Did you get a replacement because of the paint, or for another reason? I emailed eciggity but haven't received a response. In just one day now, the paint has flaked off on half of it

Once you set the baseline resistance you don't need to reset unless something has changed the resistance like a loose screw holding the coil wire or something like that. Just a change in ambient temp won't matter, it can still calculated the temp correctly based on the initial baseline.
