Just thought I would post this as a heads-up for any current/potential owners of the KBOX.
I have two of the silver KBOXs and noticed that the battery spring located on the twist cap has a sharp edge that was digging into/scratching a groove into the bottom of the battery when twisting the battery cap on or off.
A simple fix was all it took. Using a fine metal file to file the sharp edge down to a smooth/rounded shape took all of a minute or two for each one. Problem solved.
Of note: Afterwards, twisting the cap on/off with a battery installed seemed smoother, which makes sense.
Otherwise, the KBOX has been a good performer and has replaced both my MVP 20w and iStick 50w as I find it to be more comfortable and I prefer the durable build of it (not that I abuse my mods), but that's me.
Please remember, that as always, any modifications are done at your own risk of usage/warranty/results/etc.
