I can't say too much nice about the weather. It's been in the 90s with high winds blowing enough dust and pollen to make a preacher cuss.

The bulbs I planted last month are beginning to show results, so that's nice. The trees aren't even putting out leaves yet, so I'm still expecting another frost. I hope they'll be OK.

I've been working on the kitchen again. I got the lower cabinets done, stripped and sanded down to the original douglas fir, which has not been used since the 1980s. One drawer had to be replaced completely due to damage, so I did that using what I can still buy. Matching the color is impossible, but I got as close as I can, using two different stains.

The upper cabinets are next. At least there are no drawers there to replace.

Well folks, my back has been feeling much much better. Hubby and I have been out playing airsoft at a local field and having fun. My latest gun is an electric rifle that fires at between 430 and 440 fps. Today, I used it to pin down and take out a guy using a machine gun. On that field, I only use semi-auto.

I may be older than the mother of the guy running the field, but I get out there and show these young kids what generation X is about. I don't play every game. I stay hydrated. But when I play, I do it the best I can, and get compliments from the other players.

The trip sucked. Hot and balmy on the first day. The air bed (brand new) lost more than half the air over night. No fish were caught except for a tiny bass caught in the throw net. Today, we got heavy rain. We packed it up and went home where we can be comfortable and catch no fish. The dogs were very happy to see us.

As promised, pictures. The camp, the itty bitty lake, and the generation X playground with the tall baking sheet sled and the kiddo tosser with zero safe landing zones, just like it was in the 1970s.
