I had an exercise physiologist yesterday

He gave me some hamstring stretches and a couple of general guidelines

That should help me work towards my goal of putting socks on

He said he doesn't want to give me resistance exercises yet. I'm assuming it's because I'm too elite and he doesn't want other elite athletes to feel inferior

He seems so kind and understanding.

Eye exam today and ordered new contacts. I have cataracts and the doctor recommended I get them taken care of. They haven’t progressed much since the last exam, but they’re not going to get better either.
Maybe I’ll do it for my next birthday.

Mum had cataract surgery

Brand new lenses in her eyes

Then she died a couple of months later. With brilliantly clear eyeball lenses

Socks are hard. Don’t be critical of yourself.

I’m doing daily eye drops for glaucoma. Initial check up after 1 week looked promising. 90 day check up next month. I’m wearing socks to that appointment even if I have to start putting them on the day before.

My rent went up. A LOT. Like, restrict myself to the bargain basement at Dirty Betty's broke

Have you guys been down there? Terrible

Bargain basement at dirty Betty’s is the best…….in a sordid, pathetic, low self esteem kind of way. Luckily for me that was how I chose to lead my life the summer right after kindergarten…..a sordid, pathetic, low self esteem kind of existence. Expectations are low and any rewards no matter how trivial seem monumental.

Plus, Basement Barb is hot. And I’m 59% sure Barb is really female.

Please advise on oven cooking

I could only get trimmed ones

Low and slow.
I’m making ribs tomorrow as well.
3-2-1 method works for grill and oven. Don’t know why it wouldn’t in just the oven. 3 hours uncovered on a rack at 225-250. 2 hours wrapped in foil with a bit of liquid of choice. 1 more hour removed from foil. Then sauce them up if you like and put them under the broiler for a little bark.

That’s down and dirty. I marinate mine for at least 12 hours then put a rub on them and wrap tightly for at least 12 hours. I let them sit out for a few hours to get to room temp….a bit more rub and hit the fire. I might cook them longer depending on the outside temp, amount of smoke my smoker decides to do that day, type of rib…..etc…but at the end of the day you get ribs and however they turn out it’s better than not getting ribs.

That looks very good.
If I don’t screw my ribs up tomorrow I’ll post a pic.
Wife picked them up and came home with ??pork ribs??…
Not baby backs. Not St. Louis ribs. And definitely not my favorite…spareribs. Nope…..just says pork ribs. Sooo…..we’ll see what’s what. Already did a 12 hour marinade and have them rubbed and wrapped for the night. Instead of a 3-2-1, I think I’m just going to low and slow( around 200) for 7 hours…..maybe….who knows.
