How long do you use the magnetic stirrer

I just built a magnetic stirrer, and I was wondering for those of you who use them....how long do you usually stir your juice. I also intned to use it to mix 100 mg VT nic base with VG down to 24 mg...

The longer you mix it the more the nic will oxidize - which is not good. Just a heads up!
my plan was to fill a container and cap it so there was no air in the container and no oxxygen got mixed in the juice to oxidixe it.

It depends on how you made your mixer. If you bought a variable volt power supply, potentiometer or a computer fan control then you can turn it down. I have a fan control and I can turn the mixer right down so its just moving the liquid around and add no extra air. If you just have a straight 12 volt adapter then you can't do nothing but use full speed. I warm up my base with hot water to loosen up the VG some, set my initial mix with no nic to mix for 2 hours as fast as it will spin, let it sit overnight to dissipate all the air bubbles then remix it again for bout a hour at a slower speed. Let it steep for however long, taste and if its good then add the nic with the mixer spinning slow and trying not to add extra air (syringe with blunt needle put into the mix, not poured or dripped in), mix half hour then sit for a few days. My juice is a 60vg/40pg base
I put my liter of 100nic into 1-500ml and 10-50ml brown bottles I have in the freezer and build 100 mls of 48nic at a time and its working good for me, just thaw, cut and serve.
You can with a box knife score the fins on both sides, snap them off, clean up the edge a bit and your fan will spin faster since there is no air resistance from the blades. I also put a el-cheapo fasttech Digital LED Voltmeter Module into my box for uselessness sake but use the volts to adjust speed. I cut a small a circle of drawer liner so the jar or beaker don't move around if your hardrive magnet isn't quite perfectly set on the fan.
I got stirbars from eBay china, 10, 15, 20mm in a package and I can mix in a 10-20ml jug with the 10mm, 30-50 with the 15mm and up to 150ml easily with the 20mm bar.
Enjoy the magnetic mixer..IMO its the cats azz. No more shaking till your arm falls off, just set a timer and walk away.;)

yeah I just used an old cell phonecharger so I don't have a variable voltage supply but I did put a reostat on it ..doesnt work....I had the same thougth as you mix the flavors and base first then add the nic....how long do you spin once you put the nic in the juice. have you noticed an reduction in the juice tasting peppery from nic oxidation, or was that ever an issue for you. for tight now I have one speed, I need to get a ac/dc adapter.

I was to understand the "peppery" has to do with the kind of nic your using, won't get into the causes of peppery nic. My nic has no peppery taste to it and I make my mixes at 12%nic. All my mixes taste as they should
After I add the nic I turn the mixer down and mix it for bout half hour. It may take weeks for flavors to develop but only a few days for the nic to incorporate into a mix.
Its well worth to get a variable volt supply from somewhere or go to a computer store like I did and ask for a old fan controller. The guy had one in his spare parts and sold it to me for a couple bucks and works great.

no, but when you add air to nic it turns peppery and shaking and ultrasonics add air to the nic. i was going to use the magnetic mixer in a full capped bottle to mix it without any air begin pulled into the juice.
