Smart ass, but not suppose to build or dry fire on tc mods

sent from the back of Otto's bus
You never said TC .... But anyway you can build on a TC device you just can't fire it right away you need to take it off let it cool(some say put in freezer) then put it on device

Ya tc, sorry. What info i did find on tc mods with my phoine said the chips r super sensitive so ur not suppose to do a dry fire adjustments cuz u run the risk of freakin the chip out

It will but it only pulses... Or you could put it in power mode and slightly tap the fire button to see how its gonna glow.... I say screw all that wrap you coils and learn how to wrap them good cause a good wrapper knows what a coil will do with out having to dry fire it

That is correct sir but as soft as it is you could make the build test the ohms on a meter then wick it juice it and adjust it then TC devices kinda regulate their selves if the coil has a hot spot it causes it to pulse fire so not like its bad just needs tweaking

Dry firing nickle and especially titanium is not something to play with you need to know what your doing before you slap that on and build like its kanthal basically forget all your kanthal techniques and relearn how to wrap TC coils

Yeah power is old vv/vw mode for kanthal

It will also heat your coil up so fast it will blow up like a fuse and snapped or melt the coil too

Sent from my LabRatory
Ya i just didnt kno if power mode pulsed if there was a hot spot on a kanthal build

Best thing to do is start watching a good amount of reviewers doing TC builds and pile them together to get a safe way to make a TC build after 4-5 you will see the pattern with them

I'm sorry but an ohm meter that can fire an Atty is ..... A box mod most normal ohm meters are 10-20$ you add in the electronics to make an ohm meter capable of firing and Atty and it would cost in the range of 40-50$

Alot of regulated box mods can be bought for 20-50$

So why insist on finding this elusive ohm meter that can fire an Atty IF it even exist... What's the point

There isn't one you want an ohm meter that can fire an Atty its called a sigelei 150 they normally run 56$

Orrrrrrrr when you wrap your kanthal coils you could always torch them prior to loading them in the Atty so there is no need to fire them

I agree they r probably a bit on the spendy side but i dont like building on my mods at all im a little ocd like that i would rather have a ohm meter that i can build on fire on and be done they do exist but i cant find any for sale with my phone here is a pic of 1 uploadfromtaptalk1436199629356.jpg

U kno what i could simply get a unregulated diy box mod kit throw a meter in it and call it good

sent from the back of Otto's bus
Yeah that's definitely an option probably come out cheaper in the long run too

There called Fire meters and they cost 85$ .... Yeah I'll build my own or just buy a SIG 150 specifically to use to build on to be honest

I won't mess w TC coils lol
I'll buy those premade to go w specific devices and that's it.
It's too vague for me I know I would mess up

Premade coils are nothing more then coils that another person made that has taken the time to learn how they work

Just saying cause I have a friend like that why should I do that when I can just buy a coil

.... Well let see here pre built vs hand built

Prebuild =5.99$ for 1 coil that last 1 week - 1 month 5 pack 25.99-29.99 last 5 weeks-5 months

Hand built= roll of wire 3$-5$ for 100ft typical coil uses 8-12in of wire per coil disregarding the fact you can clean the coil that's still 100 coils

Ohhh and you need wick so 10.99 for 500 ft of wick lifetime supply comes out to .02198$ per foot

So yeah coils are nice but for that big of a discount I'll take some time and learn to wrap my coils to save some money but hey y'all do what y'all want that's the beauty of vaping ... So many options

If you are going to spend 85, you are getting close to buying a cheap Fluke. I would trust a fluke, anytime before I would trust any of those...

Safety first!
But a fluke meter can't test fire a coil like he's wanting...

I agree I have an ohm meter I hardly use and a reg box but I don't have a fluke sitting to the side incase and of the others go out

@ottoslaborworks,

Those resistance meters which also fire atomizers are for the folks that figure eliminating the steps of moving their atomizers around while building (deck to meter to mod to deck to freezer to disney world) is worth a premium.

A mech will fire anything - even if firing it is a very bad idea.

Pulse firing TC coils should only be done with complete understanding of the risks and the knowledge to identify the problems pulsing Ti or Ni200 can create. There is no reason you can't fire the TC coils on a TC mod ... either switch to power mode (if your mod lets you decide) or turn the temperature and power or joules all the way up. It won't stop firing the coil until it reaches the temperature you have selected or hits the time limit trying. The chips are no more sensitive than less sophisticated variable wattage chips.

My concern is that you describe Kanthal builds for TC. You aren't going to get temperature control to work with Kanthal. You can run a Kanthal build on a TC Mod, but only in its power mode. If you are gonna twist Kanthal with Ni200 ... be very careful pulsing - the Kanthal can get plenty hot enough to destroy the Ni200.

Ya i think mines messed up sadly ive only had it a month

IMO ... none of the little build deck meters are gonna get passed down to your grandchildren. They are notorious for failing pretty quickly. It'll prolly still work as a short detector - what's it read if you short an attached atty - hopefully 0.00.
