This is the only version I'll ever need of the beautiful sad Ellington piece "In My Solitude".

Henry Brun, a madly popular San Antonio music scene stalwart, brought local saxophonist Spot Barnett (died 2019 at age 83) out of retirement to star on a couple of the pieces on Henry's CD "Rhythms and Reeds, a Tribute to the Master Duke Ellington". Spot's playing was so elegant, so sensitive and nuanced, this CD is one of my treasures.

Busy fixing my kitchen ceiling stippling, I have a new roof now, but we had a leak that wrecked part of the ceiling, plus we removed sliding glass doors and now it is drywall that is finished and primed, so after the ceiling is fixed I have to paint everything. I had to go to Lowes and get supplies and my custom paint mixed to match the other walls.
Next I will be painting two bedroom ceilings- always something when you own a home right?
I hope you are feeling better my friend, you and Jean have been going thru alot.

Julie Spencer has only one full length release that I know of, and I love the music, but you can't find it on YouTube as just her music. It's always someone doing stuff to it.

Is it just me, or is this the most awful dancing ever seen? Bad choreography, klutzy dancers, and it looks like the setting is an elementary school auditorium. Music is still good though.
