We had a dusting of snow, it is 24F here now and sunny.
Buffalo is getting hammered by blizzard conditions again.

That dusting of snow sounds lovely. It goes with December, goes with Christmas time, and this year Chanukah begins after sundown on Christmas night. I love it when that overlap occurs, when so many people are celebrating the sacred and the festive all at once, when people are rushing around the stores getting supplies for the gatherings, lights showing through their windows at home. Solstice is in a few days, and after Christmas Kwanzaa begins. Even for a humbug like me, the feeling in the air is infectious.

Peace to you Snap.

Don't blame me

Don't blame me
-Miles Davis in Paris, 1949

Okay, that's shareable, so:

It was Miles' first trip out of the country. He met Juliette Greco in Paris, and they fell in love. He wouldn't marry her because he knew he would be despised for marrying a white woman, and she would be treated as a whore, so they parted when he went home.

The recording quality is not at all great, and this track was nearly trashed before the record company decided it was a treasure that had to be included in the album.
