Christmas in the streets
-Edith Piaf

Yeah, it's sad:

Little man, where are you going
Running barefoot?
I'm running after Heaven
For it's Christmas, they say...

Christmas in the street
Is the snow and the wind
And the wind in the street
Makes the children cry
Light and joy
Behind the shop windows
Not for you, not for me
My little one, have fun
Looking, never touching
Watching from afar...

Street Christmas
Is the cold of winter
In the wide eyes of street children
Pressing their noses to the windows
All the little ones, huddled like Jesus
That Saint Mary would have lost...

Street Christmas is snow and wind
The wind of the street makes children cry
They go away sniffling
They go away empty-handed
Faces upturned, searching for the splendid star
My little one, if you see it
As you walk, warm your little fingers
As you walk straight ahead...

The street Christmas has,
In the heaven of their lives
A sleeping star that never came down.

Please come home for Christmas

One of my treasures, I own this CD, three local artists. Singer Randy Garibay and violinist Sebastian Campesi are gone from this world, and will celebrate Christmas up there in heaven.

Randy's wife found the recordings when clearing out his studio after his death, and with the permission of the other two artists, had the CD published.

I'll be home for Christmas
-Randy Garibay, George Prado, Sebastian Campesi
