Good afternoon Family
I prolly won't be here much for a few, my black cloud just came floatin in. yesterday morn Jean said she didn't feel good, by night it had hit her like a freight train, she was so sick she had to be helped to the bathroom and back, she kept me up most of the night night. She's sleepin now. I sure hope it's not what her sister has, she's still sick too. I guess it's just destiney that I'll soon to join the crowd. There's some real nasty stuff goin around in this area.
Everyone stay well and have a great day

I went on a terrible odyssey today. Nobody wants to hear this I'm sure, but I would tell a tree about it, was such an awful experience.

I wasn't hearing from clients, so I decided to run a couple of errands in this town where I was born and raised, and know all the streets. I took a wrong turn and got lost for more than an hour. Ended up way north of town. Every time I thought I was turned around and headed back into town, I'd see a street sign that told me I was still headed out of town. Then the low tire light came on. I got air in the tire, got directions back to a major thoroughfare that I knew would get me home, finally got home, exhausted, anxious, made a cup of coffee, put it on the table next to my big chair, put on a podcast, and fell sound asleep. When I woke up three hours later, my email was piled up with clients.

But it's all over, and almost time for dinner (always a good thing :) )

How you doin tonight my friend Bliss?

I told my story, but I'm much better now.

Thank you.

Jimi, keep your immunity up with whatever you like to eat and drink, whatever supplements you like to swallow. You have been under the weather too much lately, and now with Jean sick, you probably need a big pot of vegetable soup, enough for leftovers for a few days.

Orange juice is still a good booster, for me anyway. Organic OJ, better than vitamin C pills because of its enzymes, natural sugars, good energy. Good organic apples too, or a jar of organic applesauce, no sugar added, to share with Jean, very soothing.

Wanna know something interesting (nothing to do with winter respiratory ailments, but...)? I was watching a YouTube video about the whole concept of sugar plums. The channel host showed pages from a very old, yellowed recipe book. Many of the recipes called for apricot kernels! Was I ever surprised to see that.

I am always boostin my immune system since it's under so much stress with the cancer. Funny you said that, veggie soup is on my menu this weekend, already have the ingredients.

The only orange juice I'll drink is OJ I have juiced myself. Premade has the "juice pack" added to the ingredients :( , here it's hard to find true organic oranges, they are seasonal, can always get regular here pretty much anytime but not organic. We think a lot alike, I have organic applesauce, much easier than eatin an apple.

Wow, now they recommend against eatin them, cause they really DO fight cancer, but they say too much arsnic in them:rolleyes:. I eat 3 kernels for every 10 pounds of body weight every day when I have them. The truth is the arsnic is very slight and would take about25 kernels per 10 pounds of body weight to do any real damage;) That's Big Pharma for you

Yes, I've researched apricot kernels, and I know the arsenic bogey has been debunked.

Someone really needs to invent slippers with heating! It's the worst sliding in warm feet in to slippers that feel like they been in the freezer overnight. And, when you wake up have to go pee really bad, very cold slippers do not help one bit. :gaah:

I mean, someone came up with heated socks, though, the only ones I know of take batteries, but still they heat up.

A long while ago, I came up with something and went to see how much a patent cost and everything involved. Unfortunately, couldn't do it. A couple two or three years later, that same item was being used in all ambulances and fire trucks. I've always wondered if it was the person I talked with and the guy made it happen.

What kind of slippers are you wearing? I bought some Ugg slippers last year on sale from Amazon and they are not freezing when I put them on. I just ordered some Project Cloud slippers from Amazon at $30.00 for 100% Australian shearling is an awesome price. I ordered 2 pair different colors. They were suppose to be here yesterday but delayed(snowstorm) so I cannot speak on the quality of this brand yet . I live in slippers here, lol!
