How's your thumb doing @Sir Kadly?
Doing pretty good. I think I posted about my visit to the orthopedic surgeon but if I didn't here is the update. On Monday the stitches were removed and I was told I didn't need the splint anymore, and to do whatever I can without causing pain. The only real pain issue is if I push right against the fracture. He sees me again in 4 weeks and anticipates that'll be the end of it.

Thanks for asking

While I was having my coffee, I put on a podcast. The podcast ended before I finished my coffee, so without having to get up (lazy me) I grabbed the remote, turned on the TV, a rare action for me, channel surfed until I landed on the best thing I've seen in a long time.

"God Friended Me" was a TV show in production from 2018 to 2020, so this was a re-run. There were multiple story lines within the episode, but the main thing was an illustration of what I believe, that God is the good in the universe, and it's up to us to show his love to each other.

So a young couple exits a diner and are walking to their car when they see a man desperately arguing with a tow truck driver, saying he has a job interview in the morning, and has to have his car. His little boy is standing there with him. The young couple appeals to the the tow truck man too, to no avail. The car is seen being towed away. The couple offer to call him a Lyft to get him home. He says "the car is our home".

I'll leave it there. The rest of the episode is what all takes place to achieve the happy ending the viewer is hoping for.

Jimi, 61 degrees sounds awful. I like winter heating on the cooler side too, but is there some health contraindication to raising yours to around 68 or so? I'm just thinking that sweating and shivering in 61 degrees can't be helpful to your recovery, but what do I know...
