I'm trying to say is males and females do not take the time to look inside the "ugly" the not so pretty females and males. Doesn't matter which one female or male. It is known fact, the more handsome or prettier the person is it's more than likely lets say get the promotion at work or get treated better. I mean, like, you post on the good time thread, who had a crush on Samantha (I think that is correct) from Bewitched. Now post a pic of a woman that isn't so attractive, well, you and I both know who's going to get the attention. It's human nature that's how life is. No matter how beautiful someone is in the inside, people will not take the time to see to get to know the "ugly" not so pretty.

Okay, I don't believe I'm saying this in public, but here it goes. Oy vah!!!!!!!!
When I was growing up, went to a small school in a small town. Everyday, b4 classes began, during classes and after classes after school, I was made of fun, I was so badly put down on, mom pulled me out of school. No one ever took the time to get to know me, I was the "ugly" girl. I had so many pranks pulled on me it wasn't even funny. I don't know what I ever did to those children (teenagers and younger), well, I didn't do anything except show my face and that was enough for them to treat me this badly, horrible, no child should ever have to go through what I did. So, I do know how people look at the "ugly" . Jimi, you probably wouldn't have and to of had one friend back then, you would have been a blessing to me. I was only like 7 to 9 yrs of age and my heart was broken, I was a broken child. I didn't "blossom" look better/pretty until around 14. And, unfortunately, adults can be just as cruel as those children, teenagers.
They say beauty is skin deep. I say bull stuff, beauty is what lies beneath the skin and in ones heart. Everyone in our game family are beautiful people.

I feel that as a friend group, as we get to know each other more and more, and become closer, we're letting things come out, and at the bottom line we do it out of long held pain or disappointment, or a hope for resolution. I have written one of my overly long replies, so I'm moving this whole thing to our family thread.

Yup, it was 28 here, frost the night before. Already had blossoms on fruit trees. So many bees on the the fruit trees yesterday, just standing underneath them I could hear them, it was nice. Today, there still were some bees but not nearly as many. But, not going to be much if any fruits again this year, but that's what "they" want :( . Been here 17 yrs and only twice has all the fruit trees produced lots of fruit. It's so sad :(
Lol, last year had one apple and it was delicious.

The bees work certain shifts and then go back to the hive. Maybe they were all still there the second day, but mostly on their way back to the hive. Wasps do too, working at midmorning and again at mid-afternoon (at least that's their schedule here in south Texas), and that's your time to go inside for a coffee break.

I love bees. I hope your colony stays healthy. Some believe the backyard garden will be what saves them.

I wish I would of known you when you at that age goin through school, I would of been proud to be your friend. I was made fun of all my childhood as the slow one, mentally, and sure do know just how you feel. Children can be so cruel but for an adult to that is truly BS.

Some kids measure their worth by seeing how far they can trash the self worth of others. Better training is needed in the home, in very early childhood.

I remember a time when a parent came to our classroom. I don't remember what grade I was in, maybe 3rd of 4th. The parent said her child was very sick, and would not come to school anymore, was afraid of the bullying, and wouldn't talk about it, just stayed in her room all the time, and wasn't eating. This parent asked us, the class, to find it in our hearts to extend kindness to her child and make her feel just a little bit welcome.

Wow, haven't thought about that in eons, but it popped into my head during this conversation Wolfie started.

Well, it was the same people who were always kind to me, and to everyone, who welcomed that child back to the class, who said they'd missed her, who elected her to the spelling team, who offered her a seat next to them in the lunch room. Sometimes kindness is more than making someone feel better. It is saving someone's life.
