Good afternoon, Jimi, I hope the day is treating you kindly :)

Our area seems to be blessed with a high frequency for the white morph variation. A couple of years ago there seems to have been at least three in our area. Unfortunately one was killed in the road as a guy that I work with saw a Facebook post about it, but he saw one after that near wear he lives which had to be a different one than our neighborhood's as it would be a bit too far for ours to range.

I had seemed to remember one around here many years back but didn't really pay much attention to it then. Recently I was talking to a neighbor and the topic came up and that older one had its nest in one of his trees back then. She had three offspring, two of which were white and one grey. The momma, one white, and the grey disappeared after a time but he was pretty sure that our current friend is the remaining survivor of that family.
He is pretty sure that it is female but we haven't seen any more all white coated offspring of late, though there may be a couple that appear lighter colored than our typical greys.

I did see a black coated squirrel one day a few miles from where we live but none in our neighborhood.
No red squirrels around here either, at least not that I have seen.

Wow cool, first all white squirrel I have ever seen, thank you for posting it my friend:hug:
We had one gray squirrel that had white feet kinds like long sox, a cat got him before we could get a picture

I never see any squirrels here anymore. It makes me so sad. They used to be the clown show of my walks. I think the stray cats, way overpopulated around here, ate them all, even though people feed the stray cats. Killing the squirrels was pure sport for them. We hardly have any birds anymore too.

It's the same way here anymore, no rabbits, very rarely any squirrels but do we ever have wild cats

It was some where, like Austria, Australia, somewhere, anyways, it's been a while since I read the article. They wanted people to start killing the feral wild cats because they were killing off too many birds.
Use to have a bunch of cats a couple of years ago, now none. Figured the big cats either ate them or scared them off, now we are having rat and mouse problems. Either way, could be good or bad to have the feral cats around.

The people who feed them need to take them in to get neutered or spayed. If, they want the cats around they need to be responsible, just not feeding them!
This is why I have three of them. I was feeding Calie, and before I had the chance to get her into the vet, she got pregnant. Took responsibility of her and kitties, think it would be irresponsible not to take her and kitties in, not to make other people take responsibility of them, just wouldn't be right. Least this is how I feel.

This reminds of a day of swimming at someones house pool. All the adults were drunk, all the children swimming, including meself. A thunderstorm was coming in, could see the lightning 🌩 and the adults let us keep swimming, we didn't care we were having fun swimming! Looking back on it, the adults were true idiots for letting us continue to swim. But, gave us all a memory we would not forget, lol, well maybe the adults don't remember :drunk:

For some years we had a tenant who took them to be neutered/spayed, at her own expense, wonderful angel, but then she moved out. We think also that people dump unwanted kittens here because of a huge bamboo grove between our building and the neighboring house, so the babies can thrown in there, to be left unseen, by the creeps who do that.

Presumably we have a trap & release program here, but I have called. Voicemail is always on, and nobody ever calls you back. There is a cost associated with it (if it really exists or is staffed). I'm willing to pay up to 75.00 per cat, but again, nobody ever calls you back.

I didn't know there was any liquid nic made in the US. I hate the whole idea of disposables, but glad to know there are liquids with American nic. I hope I'm interpreting that right.
