Mama Lucy

I'm trying to remember what I read about this song when Jaimeo Brown released the CD. I know it used a 1959 recording of a Mississippi prison inmate mourning the passing of Mama Lucy, a granny healer who cared for the black community in its lack of medical attention, then had nobody to help her when she herself was dying. The thunderstorm heard in the background of that old track seems to me to add heaven's sorrow to the mix.

Sometimes Big Lots has blackjack gum.
I think that was an english thing... I remember Greg Lake (of emerson lake and palmer) always chewing on licorice gum. It's inspired one of my DIY juice recipes (lemon, licorice, mint) I have to cheat and post this (I'm quite sure he is chewing blackjack gum) This is an amazing acoustic version:

Maroon 5 - Memories

The Memories song was written and sung by Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine. The song is dedicated to the band's longtime friend and manager, who passed way from health issues. The song and music video are filled with authentic emotions about reminiscing and learning to let go of loved ones who have passed on. This touching tribute will surely make you appreciate your loved ones more.

@SnapDragon NY , that should be on the humor thread... but "stairlift to heaven" really got me laughing.
Actually, it goes beyond that (when I lived up in the mountains, I would go down to the city to pay my rent... a nice lady Debra ran the realtor office and her father Tom would often be there. He was such a nice old man but could barely climb the stairs to the upstairs office. One day, I noticed she had one of those lifts installed just for him. I think he was in his mid 80s) OK... back to music.
