We just came back on from about a 90 minute power outage, no thunderstorms, nothing unusual that would have caused it. I looked outside, and the street lights were all out, so just my neighborhood or how far beyond, I dunno. You keep hearing about the tabletop simulations of a global power outage that will last for years, to get us peasants in line and make beggars of us. Oh no, I thought, is this it?

Anyway, it was still dark, so I lit the big prepper Crisco candle I made, and a few little tealights so I could get around without tripping over things. I had one vape I was using, two more fully charged. Today I'll be reviewing where all the candles and matches are, resolved to keep better track of what needs charging. The flashlight worked for finding candles, but needs to be fully recharged. It has a solar panel, and USB port (for charging vapes, yah).

Heet in the yellow bottle, only the yellow bottle, not the blue or the red, is indoor safe and food safe, if anybody needs to know. Campers and backpackers use it. I have a supply of about six bottles. It only takes a little bit of it in an empty tuna can to heat water for coffee, or heat soup. I use a cast iron fondue rack to raise the pot of water above the lit Heet.

Prepping is fun when you're not in an emergency situation. My Midland ER310 cranking weather AM/FM with another emergency flashlight, ultrasonic dog whistle and NOAA weather scan, turned on, but the charge indicator was low. That's a second device I have with solar recharge panel and a USB port (for charging vapes).

And those devices with solar recharge panels and USB ports for piggy-backing your vapes to recharge, are the highest value preps, IMO.

This mighta been a squirrel or some animal shorted out the transformer, it happens here from time to time. They feel the heat from it and try to warm up sometimes and get too close

Good afternoon Family
How's everyone doin today?

May be an image of text that says 'MY GROWN UP CHRISTMAS LIST No more lives torn apart. That wars would never start. And time would heal all hearts. And everyone would have a friend And right would always win. And love would never end. This is my grown up Christmas list.'

May be an image of text that says 'When you do something beautiful and nobody noticed, do not be sad. For the Sun every Morning is a beautiful spectacle and yet most of the audience shll sleeps. -Johr Lennon'

O Little Town Of Bethlehem- Frank Sinatra

OMG, got a notification on this post, had to log in to reply to it because I'm afraid the opportunity won't come again. After this one I'll post another, to get back in queue with.

Coro Diminuto, as the name indicates, was a Cuban childrens choir, long since grown up, but they recorded this beautiful song. I'm leaving here in an hour and have to get ready, so have to log out again, but I'll come back tomorrow and translate these lyrics.

Guiame a Belen (guide me to Bethlehem)

As promised, translation, just lyrics, but when sung by children, so sweet and sincere:

Dear angel, lead me to Bethlehem
Where the virgin is with the child
Ask the Virgin to let me see Him

If the baby's crying, I will sing to him
If the baby's sleeping, I will watch over him
If he is cold I will give him warmth
Nestled within my heart
