Wow, sorry to hear that my friend. Been seeing a lot more of the power outs lately, wonder if there's some hidden reason :(
Ours went out few days ago. I've heard of substations getting 'hit'....sabotage possibility  this would be the second one in a month's time in our area.

I tell ya, they're getting ready to DO IT TO US, and whent he lights come on again, we'll be saying "whut? I didn't vote for that, I don't want that, when did that start?" They'll just say "oh we don't bother making laws anymore. We'll just call it an executive order".

Kwanzaa: Festival of the First Fruits

That's a real stretch, I realize, to use the concept instead of the song title for the word match, but otherwise I might not ever be able to word match. I'll try to post something else to get back in queue with after this.

I suspect I'm no different than many people posting in this forum. I'm skeptical, a bit of an atheist, but at the same time believing in all of the religions. All of them have some problems, some baggage, but I think if we choose one it gives us a template for dealing with the things life throws at us. I enjoy learning about as many religions and cultures as I can, so that if I'm around someone who is celebrating something less commonly known, I can offer something, a gift or a song, or just some evidence that I care and I celebrate with them.

Kwanzaa, named after the First Fruits celebration known in some countries of Africa, in the US and elsewhere is a celebration of the principles of community: strength in community, survival, prosperity and love in community. Each day of the celebration, which takes place after Christmas and ends on new years day, is dedicated to a principle. Imani is the seventh. It means "Faith".

This adorable song is from Kenya Hathaway, another daughter in Donny Hathaway's amazingly talented family. It's from the CD "Kwanzaa for Young People".
