Just got home from a late night, so I'm putting in this Easter egg before I go to bed and sleep 'til noon, so it will be here for the early birds (and bunnies).

To me, holidays or sacred days are a biological imperative for joy in the human condition. No matter your religion or lack of religion, holidays are the time we allow for shutting out the distractions and taking time with family and friends, to enjoy the traditions, the special foods, to say "when did that baby become a little girl", and "when did that boy become a big old adult?" It's time to enjoy the season and to know ourselves once again. Holidays are for peace inside ourselves, and for wishing peace and abundance to others.

This year we have that nice overlap, when Easter is today, April 9, and Passover is April 5-13. I wish everybody a beautiful day of peace, freedom, beauty and abundance.

Here are a couple of pretty things:

The Easter Parade

and a Passover piece from a favorite pianist of mine, Jon Simon:
"Eliyahu"

Yesterday I was busy with the taxes and then my internet crapped out. Fortunately the internet didn't crap out until after the taxes were done and sent off.

I called ATT and they decided that my modem was the culprit and said that they would ship one to me. Thing is I won't be home this week and if the modem craps out again my wife will be without internet all week as she is not too technically inclined. I finally convinced them to send out a tech on Monday. After this happened of course the internet started working again... Still going to have the modem replaced though as it is ancient, 12 years or so...

Happy Easter Family
I had a 5 year old helper yesterday in the garden. Jeans sister's grandchild wanted to help plant potatoes. I showed her how to do them and we both went down different rows and she did a great job, she watched closely and picked it up. It was fun to see her want to learn to plant a garden. Then the easter bunny came (live rabbit that lives in our yard). Warms my heart to see kids get excited and have fun. I didn't get done till dark but was worth it.;)
We had some idiot that thought it was the 4th of July yesterday, probably will again today:mad:
I hope everyone is havin a wonderful Easter day and meal.:)

May be an image of text that says '川 Wishing youa lovely Easter, warm sunshine, and the beauty of spring all around you.'

May be an image of text that says 'POUL KARSGIK I am the egg man. We are the egg men.... So who the hell is he?'

Jimi, I loved reading that about you and your little grand-niece, and the bonus surprise visit from your resident easter bunny. When you teach a child to garden, it gives a skill, but it's also pure love. My uncle did that for all of us, for me, my brothers and our cousins. My brother and I both still enjoy landscape planting, and growing things, though living in an apartment I can't do much other than help with the landscaping and get my way with it sometimes. My brother actually built a beautiful brick planter at one of his past homes, and filled it with a pleasure scape. My other brother didn't catch the gardening bug, but you never know... My cousins are all avid gardeners. We love home grown tomatoes more than any other food in the universe.

Anyway, I hope you are enjoying a beautiful day today, relaxing and reviewing your accomplishments of the week.

I didn't know whether to put a "funny" or a "sad" icon on that, but ain't that the way it happens, all in one big clusterfuff.

That's what I told Jean and her sis that the little girl will remember that for life, it was cute she had a little sun hat on, a watering can, and a set of kids garden tools. I let her plant some green onions too and she wants to come back every day to help, so cute. We spent the whole day in the garden :bliss:. I love to teach anyone anything I can, makes me feel good to help them learn:).

Well, I should be at the airport now, but not today. I got up to find messages from American saying my flight was delayed from 6AM to 11AM. That meant that I would miss my connecting flight. Anyway couldn't get anything reasonable until tomorrow.

We had Easter dinner at my daughter's house so we got to see both the grand kids.
