Yeah, I did use some oil which helps, but not much..
I wish I could vary the speed, but it's an $9 el cheapo and only does "16,000rpm", in theory anyways. It has no torque.

Like this, but in red: http://www.harborfreight.com/80-piece-rotary-tool-kit-97626.html

You can literally grab the bit with a gloved hand and stop it. It's fine for sanding and grinding, but not for making holes in aluminum alloy.

And, the tricky bit is where I have to drill out the case screw holes.
If I miss or it skips at all, the mod is toast. Basically, it should have a drill press.

It's my own stupidity for thinking I could even do this with a $10 chinese dremel. :(
Fortunately, I'd thought to try one of the door holes first...so I can still use it just fine with the remaining screw.
If you are going back to HF, the only that would have the potential of being worth the money is this one:

Same here, but I was fortunate... After we moved here from CA in 2005 I was traveling about 90% of the time and our first snow was about 8-10" in our driveway. I was home and realized that my wife and daughter would really struggle with trying to clear the driveway so I bought a blower with plug-in electric start.

It took a couple of minutes fiddling with it and really cranking it over for a bit, but it fired up and worked like a champ. Just wish I could say the same for me. I'm in a LOT of pain today and was out for about 12 hours after I stopped yesterday and took a muscle relaxer and some Norco.

There is no way I'd be able to shovel even 2" off the driveway with my back so it is a purchase I don't regret in any way even if it only gets used a couple of times each year. :)
Agreed :) I too bought one with electric start.. That thing is a life saver.

This is getting weird, however, as I moved here in 2004, have the family medical problems, and suffer from a bad back that forced me to work through pain for a few days, and crashed for 12hrs after it all settled down and I took the meds ... Parallel life's?

Thx, but nah, I won't buy anymore of that "Chicago Tools" crap. Maybe great for doggie toenails or light woods, but not for modding metal. ;)

For the same money, I can get that WEN that is much higher rated, or just save up for a proper set.

Save up. WEN is only worthwhile in their pro level stuff. The consumer level is just low end crap for the most part now.

Correct, because it didn't work, it said it fixed some errors, but its still doing the same thing, I am soooo not a computer coder and have no idea what I am doing.
Good Morning everyone!

I can get a Dremel 300 for about $30...those are supposed to be quite good.
Honestly think you'd be better served with a regular hand held drill. Dremel's really aren't made for drilling. I'm not sure how well my Dremel 4000 would do trying to drill a hole in metal.

Best performance drilling in metal is really down in the sub 1000 RPM range.

Saw that.. Precision strike.

When you can't see the guy on the ground but you hear the last shot and then see the guy come around the sign reminds me of when my master sargeant instructed us to shoot the wounded before we passed them so that we didn't have to take them as POW's. Must have had the same instructions.

You in the tropics now?

-11 with the wind chill right now.

And because of my son's oral sensory issues, I truly am afraid that one day we are going to get a call from school that he done this...

My youngest grandkid did that.. at a friends house, 3 mins after I dropped him off

LOL... I'll leave an Oxy for ya :)
Thanks. I realized this morning that I only have 3 Norco left and it can take a couple of days to get a new script from the doc now that they have to be handwritten and picked up in person or mailed to my house.

It's a real PITA to have a PITA!

Well, I decided that since I can't really mod the Chana for magnets ATM, I could at least enjoy the VU Jwrap I got.

Looks nice eh? Well, that is not quite correct. It doesn't fit.

I made a 'lil video as just easier to show it that way.

Link: https://vid.me/8bv8

(JFYI, my damned camera shoots frickin' .MOV format video! I had 500MB+ for less than 4mins of HD video. Re-encoded to H.264 = 25MB - Apple can Byte Me)
